I have been going to Mrs. Pumpkin's for lunch for the past year since I started working right up the road from them. Time and time again my coworkers and I have brought to their attention that their sandwiches and wraps are always lacking meat- we have been told that we just need to order extra meat on our orders and pay an extra charge. This time, I ordered the Italian wrap the way it comes. I paid $9.50 for my lunch. The wrap was really skimpy, as you can see from the picture below. It hardly had anything on it. I e-mailed them about it on 10/24/2018 to bring it to their attention. I never received an e-mail back. Today, 11/5/2018 I called to speak to someone about it. I was essentially blown off. I was told that she was not able to load the picture at the time but that they have a standard of how much meat they should put on a sandwich... (something along the lines of two slices of each meat for an Italian.) I told her that was obviously not what happened that day for me and she continued to blow me off that I was wrong. She finally mustered up the "I apologize" AFTER she told me I just needed to order the extra meat and pay for the up-charge. I wasn't looking for free lunch, I wasn't looking for a reimbursement, but what I WAS looking for is maybe an apology that it happened and that they would try to look into my complaint and see if they can resolve it in anyway. I mean, come on, they didn't even respond to my email! You can look for yourself and see how skimpy this wrap was. Pretty disappointed that their customer service is sub par. I (and my coworkers) have ordered a lot from them and am not sure I will...
Read moreNow, I'm angry. I have given every single thing I bought a chance. We bought 6 of the Moravian chicken pies, one spaghetti and meat sauce and 4 vegetable pot pies through a fundraiser. We have now tried the family size chicken pie and the spaghetti as well as the pot pies. This food is not worth the price. Literally, I have eaten better banquet pot pies than what I just ate. This has to be the driest pot pie I have ever eaten, with no filling whatsoever. It is almost all crust. I left half of it on my plate. This is a disservice to the organizations raising money and is embarrassing. Family size moravian pies - For the cost of $13 each, we expected something commensurate with the frozen chicken pies we often purchase from our local churches - but were VERY disappointed in the lack of filling and chicken in these as well. Mostly crust, which is delicious, but it isn't a $13 chicken pie. Overall, disappointing. Chicken doesn't cost so much that it should be skimpy like this. We love chicken! Look at my other reviews and how often I talk about chicken! More chicken, please. The spaghetti and meat sauce gave both my husband and me scorching heartburn in the middle of the night from the grease. Next time I will skip this purchase and go back to buying from our local churches or make my own. We had been giving these away to others because we just aren't excited about them, but I can't even do that in good conscience. Do better! All you have to do is add chicken and cut grease. Our workaround will be to add a chicken breast or 2 every time we eat one of your pies. I will not make this...
Read moreI was required by Google to provide feedback on Quality, Appeal, and Service; however, I can really only answer to Service. I purchased a groupon and one evening I had to work late so at about 5:40 pm I called, mentioned I had purchased a groupon meal and asked if meals could be picked up same day. The person on the phone said yes; just come in and pick out what you want! I asked what was the Meal of The Day (that was one of 3 options for the Groupon). She told me what it was and I thanked her. My husband arrived at the store at about 6:20 and it was closed! I called the phone number again and got the answering machine which gave the hours. I went back to the website and looked for the hours. They were not readily visible on the website. It is now after 7 and we are back to square one with planning dinner. Since I asked if I could pick up a meal without calling ahead and asked what the Meal of The Day was for today, it would have been helpful to know they were closing in 20 minutes...something I feel should have been shared with me when I called. It does seem odd also to offer "meals to go", including dinner, but...
