Im new to town and it was my second time coming to barrel and i came with a group of 8. Was there for three hours and all seemed well. Was buying drinks for myself and my friends throughout the night when one of the bartenders asked to see my ID. Common practice understandable and they asked for it 3 times earlier in the night with no problems. This bartender (guy with the ponytail think his name is Tyler) however refused to serve me. I was very confused since i was there for 3 hours and he was letting me buy drinks for other people. He said he didn't trust my New York State Enhanced ID. I offered to even provide other forms of ID and he told me he has the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason he wants. I said to him thats totally fine i will just ask another bartender for my drink. After getting a drink from another bartender he tried to take it back from me. Then he told me to leave. This seemed very personal to him and he was trying to embarrass me in front of my peers. After leaving and going outside i was talking to a few people in there who were actually underage and he served. I wish i knew why he targeted me like that and was very rude to me from the start especially since i offered to provide other forms of ID. Its really unfortunate because a couple of my friends frequent this place and we will have to take our business elsewhere for the...

I get that bars can have dress codes, but enforcing it only on men feels like a double standard. If you’re going to have rules, apply them fairly. I wasn’t being rude, I wasn’t causing problems — just trying to enjoy my night like everyone else. Won’t be coming back.
Edit: Since they can edit their review, I can too. Appreciate the response, but let’s not pretend the “no tank tops” rule is universal — I literally walked down the street and had a much better time at another bar that welcomed me without issue. I was looking sharp, not sloppy — think male Tomb Raider, not frat bro.
You say this policy applies to women too, but I watched several walk in with similar outfits. So either your enforcement is inconsistent, or your ego is getting in the way of fairness.
No hard feelings — there are clearly better vibes (and better service) elsewhere downtown. I found...
Read moreI visited this bar for the first time and I’m really glad I stopped in! It was on a Saturday in the middle of the afternoon and not so crowded. The bartender was very knowledgeable. I told him this was my first time here and he explained they had over 500 different types of bourbons and whiskeys on the menu and you can choose sample shots as well as their signature cocktail drinks.
The drinks are strong and well worth the money!!
If you’re looking for a nice small hideaway place to chill and have a strong stiff drink this is the place to be!
Various places to sit, very clean, and newly renovated place!
You can text to join their buy one get one free specials, I did that when I was in the bar, after I had paid for my drink and I asked the bartender if I could use the promo now, he said yes and he applied it,...
