When I ordered ice cream from this location with my at-the-time partner it was perfectly adequate service but more recently I have begun using Uber Eats to do food delivery and make ends meet.
There are two specific times I have picked up, one time was last night and the other time was maybe a few weeks ago and they were very unpleasant to me. I understand where service workers are coming from as I used to be a Starbucks barista, ride operator at Legoland, worked in a pizzeria and a couple of different delis. I get being understaffed and underpaid and stressed but there is no reason to let it boil over onto a customer who is already exercising a level of patience. I don’t wish to be a burden on anyone. I know as an Autistic adult I don’t always understand requests the first time they are made of me and sometimes I take things too literally, it’s still no reason to make me feel the way they made me feel last night. It’s not my fault the order had four drinks and three out of stock food items. I was going to ask if I should pull over to the side since there was a line forming but they were so quick to close their window I couldn’t even manage a peep.
The order ended up being canceled through a misunderstanding from Uber Support. The entire ordeal was very stressful but it wouldn’t have been as much of an issue if they had been more understanding and less impatient with me. I never want to do business with this location again
The previous occasion I was picking up ice cream for a customer and they were out of stock of I don’t even know what because they failed to clarify. So I didn’t even know how to ask the customer for a substitution so the order ended up just being canceled. She had a black bonnet on. She completely lost her temper, and had the worst attitude because I had requested a waffle cone. I was more than happy to pay, but she didn’t even give me an opportunity to speak as she continued to bash the idea that it could not be done without paying. The cone hadn’t even been made. After thinking, maybe it was because there were two more cars behind me. I attempted to go inside to pay the extra, but it was closed. I came back around and another lady was at the window. She was rude as well then lied when I asked about her coworkers name. I don’t appreciate being treated like I can’t even afford ice cream. I don’t appreciate being demeaned or spoken down to. After moving into the area, this was the first location I found, and came to. I am originally from New York, and not even there have I ever been treated this way. I am completely baffled. Read moreI ordered a cake they didn’t have and the dunkin employees told me I had to get my refund through their automated service. That was on August 24th. Since then the customer care team has told me 3 times someone will get to me in less than 3 days and yet here we are 1 month later with no refund and no type of contact from the store WHATSOEVER. Update: the owner called me and when I explained what happened he expected me to know who I spoke to when this situation happened months ago. When I said I didn’t know or have the receipt he asked for he started laughing at me and asked how I expected him to help me. When I said it was crazy to expect me to remember and asked him for his store number and first and last name he hung up on me. Save your time and go somewhere else honestly. All this over a $30-40 cake is insane. He also told me he’s there 7 days a week but I’ve been back to the Dunkin multiple times about this and just placing orders since then but no one ever directed me to him or a manager.
