Theatre Winter Haven — Attraction in Winter Haven

We just saw Titanic this weekend. Wow, what a performance!!! I saw the original cast on Broadway and loved it, so I was honestly concerned if TWH could pull it off such a large production. I should have known better. TWH should be extremely proud of the quality production they presented. I was most concerned with the orchestra, as Titanic is a very difficult and large score. The orchestra was impressively polished from the opening to the finale.

The entire ensemble of singers were excellent, and Titanic has some incredibly difficult high baritone and tenor roles. Andrew LeJeune as Frederick Barrett, has one of the strongest, yet richest and warmest voices I have heard in years, and he gave an absolutely commanding performance! Bravo!

I had the privilege of performing in several TWH productions when I was younger, including Will Rogers Follies, Cabaret (Thom Altman directed) and an evening of Andrew Lloyd Weber performed with I believe the Imperial Symphony Orchestra. TWH’s production value is always stellar and the environment was always so positive and supporting. If you or you have children or teenagers who want to give theater a try or improve their skills, whether it be on stage or as part of the production crew, this is an excellent place to do it! The Addams Family production was Awesome! My wife and two daughters went to see the production on Saturday and gave it rave reviews. I decided to take my son on Sunday for the final show and we loved it. The director, actors and set designers are very talented and did a wonderful job. I watched the original Addams Family TV Show as a kid and it was so much fun to see these characters brought back to life on the stage at the Winter Haven Theatre. This Theatre is a great asset to the community of Winter Haven and has consistently produced and brought quality and critically acclaimed plays to the area. We are super excited about attending their upcoming productions of Nutcrackers, Titanic, and Footloose. These well produced plays are great entertainment for the entire family. This is a hidden gem in Winter Haven, FL. After seeing several productions here, I have been very impressed with the quality of the acting. That is saying a lot since it's all volunteers working here. You will be entertained each time you go. Even their youth performances are very good. We just saw "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe." It was only their second performance, and they were great. They even rolled with the minor hang ups that come with the first couple of performances. For kids, they were real professional and didn't get flustered. Plus, it added some comic relief to the show. I loved them. I can only imagine how much better they will be by the end...
