Sal's Pizza winter haven — Restaurant in Winter Haven

I used to be a regular customer here, but after today, I won’t be coming back. The cashier (a lady wearing a hat) tried to overcharge me by marking up the price. I ended up paying $16 for a personal cheese pizza with just one topping.

She charged me an extra $3 for a topping, which wasn’t right. It’s upsetting to be treated like this, especially as a loyal customer. Sorry, but you’ve lost my business for good.

UPDATE TO THE RESPONSE: First of all, you added $3 for the topping, even though less than a month ago it was only $1, and it’s still listed as $1 on the menu and online. Then you gave me $1 back, but only after I pointed it out. Even after refunding it, I still paid way too much compared to what I saw when I tried ordering online. So, that was a mark up.

And you said it was “corrected immediately”? No, I was the one who noticed the price mark up and had to bring it up myself. You wouldn’t have corrected anything if I hadn’t spoken up.

Then you responded to my review telling me to “be honest”? That’s funny, you are the one who should be honest. Why mark up the price and act like nothing’s wrong? Don’t treat me like I’m not a regular customer. It’s upsetting to be treated this way by a place I used to support.

This isn’t about $1 or $2, it’s about honesty. I won’t give my business to a place that cheats customers....

We had a group of 10 in from out of town visiting LEGOLAND. In our search for a pizza place that had great ratings, we came across Sal’s Pizza. They also were the only pizza place that could easily hold a table for our large group. This was absolutely the best choice we could have made for dinner! It was such a unique setting, since the restaurant is actually located inside a grocery market. Very cool for us to be able to pick up a couple of bottles of wine at the market to share with our meal.

The pizza was incredible. The dough was extremely fresh and tasty, the ingredients were well balanced, and the appetizers were on point!

Lastly, the service…the staff really went out of their way to make our group very well cared for and attended. They did a great job and were extremely accommodating. Great service and an incredible wait staff!

Overall we would absolutely return to Sal’s the next time we are in town. Great pizza, great people, and HIGHLY...

I was not a big fan & I'm such a pizza lover. I came in for the XL White Garlic Pizza assuming that it comes with Ricotta, when I arrived to pick it up & there wasn't NO RICOTTA, (im sure thats what make a white pizza) plus I've never seen too many "air bubbles" in one setting. Didn't offer to remake it but insisted to add the ricotta and heat it up for me which i appreciated but i knew by doing that, the pizza was gonna get more crunchy and defeat the purpose of it being FRESHLY MADE. I was fine with the ricotta being slapped on, and be on my way but when I arrived home to grab a bite of the pizza I WAS EVEN more disappointed, it was STILL HARD and just annoyed at that point even more annoyed that i've spent $26.71 on this pizza, pretty disappointing. There goes that, money wasted...
