Hi-Tide — Restaurant in Winthrop

One of the most bizarre, uncomfortable restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. Not sure if they are just extremely rude people or actual racists working there. They had an attitude with us, right as we arrived and ordered. We waited 30 minutes for our takeout sandwiches, meanwhile people came and went and they just refused to make our food, even when there was hardly no one left in the restaurant. Finally after saying we were just going to leave, they begrudgingly made our food and really offered no explanation or real apology. No one else seemed to be getting this terrible treatment, but us. We live in Winthrop. We have been to the restaurant a few times and have gotten good service by a waitress named Cheryl....However, this past Sat approx 930 Am we sat down at the table at the back of the restaurant ... it had its usual busy crowd. After being totally ignored by a waitress ( I believe I heard someone call her Barbra )...:I mean came right by out table looked, looked away fast several times and 25 minutes..... I finally flagged down Cheryl..... she said it wasn’t her table But she would take us.... It’s a shame that the rudeness of one waitress can ruin a once in a while of going to...

The health inspector really needs to visit this place. You can sit at the counter and watch the cook handling raw meat with his bare hands then grab food that is being served on a plate to patrons, in plain view!

Ive been here a couple of times and was shocked to watch this. Literally pick up raw ground hamburger, bacon, etc, then in the next move grab bread, potatoes, etc and stick it on your plate!

The grill is in plain view situated directly in front of the counter. Take a picture and post in your review! Im not going back after seeing this...I value my life and...
