Walking into this Latino restaurant feels like stepping into a celebration. The vibrant colors, upbeat Latin music, and warm greetings from the staff instantly set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. There’s an energy here that’s both inviting and exciting—like being welcomed into a friend’s home for a special gathering.
The menu is a delicious journey through Latin America, showcasing the best of traditional flavors with a fresh, modern twist. Every dish I tried was bursting with authenticity and made with obvious care. The tacos were a standout—soft, freshly made tortillas filled with perfectly seasoned meats, fresh vegetables, and just the right kick of spice. The ceviche was bright and refreshing, with citrusy tang and tender seafood that tasted like it had just been caught.
But the true magic is in the details: the rich, smoky aroma of grilled dishes, the vibrant salsas made from scratch, and the way every plate is presented with artistry. The portions are generous, and the flavors are bold yet balanced, making each bite an exciting surprise.
The service was impeccable—attentive without being overbearing. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to share recommendations, even explaining the origins of certain dishes. It added an extra layer of appreciation for the culture and traditions behind the food.
Whether you’re here for a casual lunch, a lively dinner with friends, or a romantic date night, the atmosphere adapts perfectly. It’s a place where you can linger over a plate of empanadas, sip a tangy margarita, and lose track of time.
In short, this restaurant is more than just a place to eat—it’s a celebration of Latino heritage, community, and joy. If you’re looking for bold flavors, warm hospitality, and a dining experience that leaves you smiling long after the last bite, this is the...
Read moreThis place tastes like someone read a book about Mexico and decided to open a Mexican restaurant. It’s like Margaritas, El Torito or Chili’s, big portions of America’s favorite Mexican food but nothing authentic, and nothing special. Some recipes, such as the tacos or ceviche, are just plain strange, and poorly executed at that. I guess the locals don’t like cilantro or onions. If you think Chili’s fajitas are good, then you may like this place. But, Almost everything tastes about the same, and the quality control and consistency of what goes from kitchen to table is pretty low, eg sometimes the rice is overcooked and hard or fried items will be looking nearly black far too often. Seafood almost always tastes old, and quality of steak is quite low. Far too expensive to not have time to ensure quality. Their drinks are also pretty disappointing. In their spicy margarita for example they will chop up some jalapeños for you, but don’t have homemade infusions or purées or sweet and sour, so literally any bar can do this. Their staff is usually very courteous, but it’s tiresome to get food that you can’t eat or don’t...
Read moreI'm a regular here. I think this is some of the best food, not just Mexican, you can get. Start to finish. The chips are crisp and salty and the salsa is the perfect compliment. You'll never be satisfied with tostitos again. The apps I go there for are the chipotle chicken wings, veggie quesadilla, queso fundido, and callitos tampiquenos. The callitos! Scallops, bacon, and some veg in a cream sauce. The app comes with bread or as an entree over rice. AMAZING. Theirs is also the standard by which I judge every other mole sauce. Get the mole. Try the fish tacos. Then come back for a burrito or chimichangas. Don't ignore the specials! Save room for churros too.
Dine in, take out, special occasions (our valentine's day tradition), catering, and private functions. I have done all these things with repeated great success at La Siesta. Also want to thank Alex and Sarah for always curating a wonderful experience, Krystina for her patience with my ever-changing tequila preference, Tahnya for being so good with my kid, and Leo! Wouldn't be La Siesta...
