We have lived in Winthrop for more than ten years and never given this place a try, mostly because it's cash only and we almost never carry cash. But after splitting one of their incredible toasted Italian subs the other day, we've both become big fans. There's so much flavor, especially when you add the hot peppers, they remind me of the subs from my childhood. Winthrop House of Pizza is absolutely fantastic. I’ve lived in the community my entire life. It’s always so wonderful when stopping in to get s sandwich before church on Saturday. Then with weather being so great stopped in and had a fantastic chicken finger plate. Jim and his staff were right there waiting to take my order when I arrived. I live next door in Eastie, where Greek-style pizza is non-existent, so stumbling across this place by chance was a total win.
