Perkins American Food Co. — Restaurant in Wisconsin Rapids

I ate there twice in the last few weeks. Once on a Sunday morning two weeks ago and tonight.

The Sunday I was there, I was by myself. The restaurant was only about half-full and for the most part, everyone was very friendly. The host was fantastic, my server was pretty good, the customers around me were friendly and we were all talking together which was fun. The food, when it finally came out, was pretty good. They STILL can't make simple scrambled eggs though! They always come out frapped and dry which I hate. It also took just under an hour to get my food!!!!! THAT alone is unacceptable! The waitress even said they had to let the bread rise after I asked if they had to wait for the hens to lay some eggs. I was in a hurry and it should NEVER have taken that long to cook eggs.

Then there was tonight... There were three of us and we walked in with someone I knew who sat alone by herself. She got her food, ate it, and left BEFORE we even got our food! There was a family of 5 who came in 20 minutes AFTER us, and a group of four who came in about 30 minutes AFTER us, and they all ordered, ate, and left BEFORE we got our food!!! We had to ask another waitress where our food was, for some more drinks, more napkins, etc. and we STILL waited for another 20 minutes for our food!!! NOT OK!!! We were ALL hungry!!! My mom is used to eating at a certain time every day and by the time we got our food it was two and a half hours after she's used to eating. There was NO ONE else in the restaurant!!!!! There is NO excuse for making us wait that long or making us wait until everyone else in the place who came in AFTER us ate and left!!!

The floor was dirty and very sticky, the music horrible, and the table was dirty!

We all agreed we never need...

Very sad visit today. Decided to have a little date night with my husband tonight and decided to stop in. First we waited for almost 10 minutes to be seated. Okay I get that. There’s a sign on the door that stated they are short staffed so they closed at 12am and open at 6am. I truly understand being short staffed. But to listen to our waitress send a couple with their children out the door cause there was already alot of ppl in there and they were so busy. But the next couple that came in with their baby were seated?? It was maybe 5 minutes in between if that even. So why was one family turned away but not the next. This waitress repeatedly was telling everyone in there about how her manager left for a medical reason and figured she could handle things. First off, why are you telling strangers about your managers medical stuff. No ones business. Second, why send 1 family of 4 away but a family of 3 was okay. Three, why would u tell everyone you are doing dishes, taking orders, pretty much everything but cooking? Isn’t that something that costumer don’t need to know? Then the one that made me most mad, telling an elderly costumer she needs to wait for you to clean a table before she can be seated. She has a walker! There were open tables all around us. Can’t say you were seating people a table or booth apart cause the other side of the restaurant had people at every table. Why? Why must our elderly costumers have to wait for a table. Also, don’t tell people you feel good about yourself cause you have only been there for 3 weeks. You made it sound like you can’t keep a job. After this I stopped eating. Didn’t even wanna take my food home. Like I said, I get being short staffed...

Absolutely the worst service. Took forever to get a table. Just 3 of us waiting. Should have been the first clue to leave. Others waiting behind us left. Food was served but we never got silverware. Couldn't get our Waitresses attention, so we got up and found our own silverware so we could eat. Food was good. Never saw our waitress after we got our food. People got sick of waiting and they got up and left. More left than what stayed to eat. Checking out was 20 min and we WERE the ones getting checked out! Waitresses were arguing next to our table about which waitress should take the table behind us. 2 Waitresses for the whole place on a Friday at 6pm. One worker sat in a booth in the front and did nothing while 2 tried to cover everyone who did decide to stay. The one sitting only got up up to run the check out and did something wrong because one waitress stood next to her yelling at her for " messing it up". One young man stood outside and played on his phone instead of working. We seldom go because the service is never good. All different staff again and not a clue what to do with any efficiency. Be a long time before we go again. Nobody has all evening to wait to eat n listen to all the loud bickering...
