Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Wisconsin Rapids

Update 6/3/22: removed another star, and I'm done. Ordered through mobile, was given the wrong order. Correct smoothie had zero flavor, and I don't think they added the ginger I paid for. I also ordered extra chicken on my wrap, and that wasn't done either. Management really needs to get it together.

Previous review: Had to take my rating down a notch. I love that we have a place like Tropical Smoothie in Rapids, but the last few times we've gone, it has been inconsistent. I understand supply issues because of Covid, but replacements should not be made without customer consent. This time I didn't get the chips I asked for. Also, one of my party ordered the Thai chicken bowl and she had to pick out all the cilantro because it was wilted, soft, and inedible... brown even and there were maybe two wonton strips in the entire bowl. The previous time, she ordered the Thai chicken wrap and there was almost no greens in the wrap. The time before that, everything was perfect, as ordered. I want to continue going because of the fresh food, but the Rapids location needs to work on...

I went through the drive through there was a HUGE line couldnt figure out why. The employees get a lot of feedback from the traffic that comes through that road. It was frustrating as a customer because they couldnt hear me and i repeated myself multiple times. I spoke to 3 different people before they asked me to just pull up to the window and give my order. I really felt the staff wasnt familar with their menu when i was talking to them and kept talking over me. One guy was trying to assume what I wanted without listening to me. Wasnt the best experince. When i was waiting I could see a lot of staff standing around instead I think they could all learn to work together to make the process faster to speed up the line. There seemed like there was no real team work. They need more training. And the combo meal was a rip off it says "save"ya you really arent saving. Lastly I think that if they are hearing that much traffic sound either they need to invest in a better speaker so they can have a better drive thru or get rid of...

I love that we have an alternative to typical fast food here in wisconsin rapids. The food and smoothies are amazing. However the customer service is so terrible I probably wont go here any longer unless it improves somehow. They seem to always get your order wrong and get very confused with their own menu items and how to make them. One point I had to ask for a side of ranch/barbeque 5 times because she didnt understand what I was asking even though it was supposed to come with the menu item I ordered. She then never gave me the side and also did not put three different things on my quesadilla even though it came with those things and I didnt ask for it to be specially made. I was shorted a smoothie and the wrap I ordered also was not the one that I asked for. Everytime I go there's always issues. It sucks because I love the food and smoothies but it's super frustrating to come here because this seems to happen almost...
