I had regularly visited Romas long before the current owners for all holidays!! . This place has changed and NOT for the good. Never was a $10 minimum. The pastries have gone downhill ten-fold!! If you know what GOOD Italian food is then you’ll rate this place a zero. The last two times I spent over $100 and was less than pleased. A made to order strawberry shortcake was packed with a ring positioned above the layers and the whole cake slid off itself. It was just only ok and had to serve this as it was birthday cake like a trifle!!! Thanks for a memorable cake flop!! . The bread and rolls are not the same as over the years. The cookies are not the same anymore (used to be the best around) and esp the cupcakes at almost $3 each that were previously frozen and lousy that were part of my last order along with what they call CALZONE! What a joke these people are. I special ordered 2 Italian calzones on a Sunday, cooked well done. I go to pick them up and checked them and they looked raw. I asked the Owner if they could be cooked more as I requested well done. Well, you would think I asked her to cut off an arm. The owner was very rude in her reasons why the calzones were not browned is they were using a convection oven and not their pizza oven. Any idiot knows that you cannot brown in a convection oven, but the owner kept going on and on about the pizza over was shut down. If that was the case, they never should’ve taken my order for well done calzones. Now, the next thing when I took these calzones to a beach party and cut them up they we’re disgusting!!! The ends were all bread where the cold cuts were skimped on and for the Owner’s information Italian Calzone should and is traditionally cold cuts incl ham, salami, pepperoni, mortadella and provolone!!! There were 2 meats that were in maybe two layers that you make a sandwich with NOT a calzone!! There were only two meats a ham and what looked like bologna and barely any cheese in these calzones!! They were absolutely the most horrible calzone and consisted of all bread practically. Anyone who claims the pizza and food at Romas is great does not know good Italian food incl this Owner who has to make ridiculous FB posts of herself to get people to go there! Such a joke if you need to do this to get business. FYI: STOP! I will never step foot in Romas...

Read moreAs I was waiting at a red light on Main St. in Woburn, I saw Roma's Bakery on my left. I had never been in before, so naturally I banged a "u-ey" just before passing the restaurant. I'm glad I did! I was greeted immediately, and the staff/owners were so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is bright and airy, with lots of desserts, calzones, pizza, and sandwiches to choose from. I picked up a jam-packed spinach and cheese calzone and a big square slice of Sicilian pizza. The pizza sauce was so deliciously seasoned, and the thick dough was light and fresh. I don't know why it took the better part of living in the area for 20 years for me to come in, but I'll definitely be back! Do yourself a favor, and visit...
