Arancini balls were absolutely delicious. I'd prefer if they didn't come drowned in their sauce because it takes away from the crisp of the fried ball, but the flavor was great. Calamari was good, lightly coated and tasted fresh. Now, the entrées were extremely disappointing. I got the osso bucco and my fiance got the eggplant parm. The osso bucco didn't taste like anything. There was no seasoning at all. The meat was cooked pretty well, fall off the bone kind of thing, but it didn't have any flavor! The risotto underneath was slightly underdone for my taste, but wasn't too starchy. I enjoy al dente risotto but this was a bit much. The flavor from the risotto was a lobster type broth, but I wasn't a big fan of it. The rice got better the more I ate but the meat was so disappointing. Ate 1/4 of it, took the rest home, seasoned it and reheated it. The next day and it was delicious. The eggplant parm was good, eggplant was lightly breaded and tasty. I won't be coming back unfortunately, it started off so well and ended up being a big let down....
Read moreBy far the BEST Italian food I have EVER had. And I'm not even a fan of Italian food normally. We're visiting from San Francisco and happened to stumble across this cozy family-owned restaurant while looking for a place to eat this evening and I'm so glad we decided to give it a try. The ambience is lovely, the family very hospitable and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the lobster ravioli and was literally scraping up the last bits of sauce with my fork at the end of our meal. Definitely a first for me, it was that good!!!!
The only thing I wish I'd known earlier is that it's a BYOB (beer/wine) place, and it looked like everyone there had brought their own bottle (or two) of wine. I could totally see this becoming a family favorite for good food or an evening out- with friends, family or even a date night- if we only lived a little...
Read moreWe’ve been to Sam’s Kitchen several times. Tonight we got take out and we were just as impressed with the food as when we have been in house.
Being locals, we’ve also been to all the other Italian restaurants in the surrounding area (and other surrounding towns). We like to find great places to eat and eat out often. Sam’s Kitchen is hands down the best Italian food I’ve had since I last ate at my Nana’s house.
The Arancini’s are by far the best I’ve EVER had. And my partner is obsessed with the Lobster Ravioli entree.
The prices are reasonable. The food is consistent and the atmosphere and staff are warm and welcoming. You can tell that the food IS cooked with love and passion.
What a great and much needed addition to Woburn and surrounding towns.
Thank you for a wonderful addition to the...
