Tremonte Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Woburn

This was our first and last trip to TreMonte due to the mediocre food and overpriced bill. We went based on a recommendation and I wish I spent my anniversary dinner elsewhere.

We started dinner with fried calamari, which was overcooked and under seasoned. They were too crispy to enjoy and the marinara and mayo served with them were rather plain. Appetizer - way below average. For dinner, my wife had the mushroom ravioli, which weren't bad, but they tasted just like a Marsala sauce. The waitress told us the ravioli were made fresh there, however, I am not convinced since they were the same shape and color as the ones served at a restaurant I used to work in. My dinner was the steak of the day - a ribeye ordered medium rare. It arrived cooked more like medium, but not a big deal. The sides I chose were grilled veggies, which were great, and potatoes au gratin. The potatoes were burnt to a crisp, literally inedible. I asked for a side of mashed instead and they arrived promptly and were not bad. The steak was tasty, but not necessarily worth the $28. Overall, with a couple of drinks, our bill came to $87, which isn't outrageous, but in my opinion, if I'm spending $100 for dinner out, my food better be worth it. At TreMonte, it...

Awful service. Came in with my family member so excited to try this place at around 8:20 pm. They close at 10 so its not like we came in right at close. We came in for one cocktail and the waitress was upset that the hostess sat us at a table instead of having us sit at the bar. We didn't want to sit at the last two seats because they were squished together and due to covid we wanted to be at the high tops that were unoccupied. As soon as I asked for a cocktail menu she asked if we were getting food. I told her no and she said then we should be sitting at the bar and that the bar tender can take care of us. She was extremely rude and started slamming plates that we weren't going to eat from. We ended up walking out because she made us feel so bad about being here. Will never...

I’m usually very forgiving toward restaurants as I am a server but certain things are inexcusable. There are maybe 15 tables in the entire restaurant and I could take half in my sleep. Two tables that sat after us were served before us (after waiting at the empty host stand for 5 minutes). My drink came out very late and I’m not quite sure how the bartender let that drink go out - it was horrible. Next my $38 steak that was supposed to be cooked medium came out rare and with no seasoning on it at all. Then we sat there, very clearly done with our meals, for approximately 12 minutes before a waitress, who wasn’t even our server, came to help us box up our meals.
