First of all I don't normally eat at McDonald's because I'm vegan, however I was curious about what I COULD possibly get there and while the pickings were slim of course, I still had a decent meal. So first off I ordered the regular hamburger, but removed the meat and added extra lettuce, 2 tomatoes, extra onions, and extra pickles. Those onions and pickles seriously gave it that McDonald's taste. I also got the southwestern salad. It already comes with no meat. It has a southwest blend of beans, corn, and I think peppers. So I got extra of that. And took off the cheese. And it had tortilla strips, might have been Doritos, not sure the menu didn't say and frankly I don't remember what regular Doritos taste like so.... but anyhow the lady also put the vinaigrette on my salad they normally use on their salads that contain chicken for free. Oh I also accidentally ordered an iced mocha coffee which contains milk, but the employee realized my mistake ( I ordered from the touchscreen kiosk and had requested no milk in the mocha) , she exchanged it for an iced coffee with no milk for free. And I had 2 Apple pies. So I had a decent meal, and the employee was very polite and accommodating. Even though my options are limited, I'd go there again. Maybe I can find out another combo.....now if only their fries...
Read moreJust like it's 2 sister stores in O'fallon, there's no such thing as customer service, much less feeling like they even know you're there. The self ordering kiosk that we were able to use without issue we thought, including a receipt and being instructed to grab a table number and have a seat, apparently they didn't get it back in Narnia, where the employees are not even visible at the counter but rather, you have to wait to see someone walking by. THEN, after calling out to them and distracting them from their phone, the look of disgust on their face that they have to interact with a customer is palpable. And the employee was very puzzled because they didn't get our order ultimately. It's interesting how one employee's mom, who she kept visiting with when not sneaking back into Narnia, kept getting all sorts of hot food brought to her, as did the drive-thru people. I don't believe there's a good McDonald's in O'Fallon, much less anywhere else, the exception being the Bethalto location. I will no longer patronize any of the three McDonald's in my town of O'Fallon. And I'm probably soon just going to stop going to any of them. Consistency is not in...
Read moreSecond update: forgot my bacon on my quarter pounder yet again that I paid extra for. How they manage this over and over again blows my mind.
Update: This location has become soooo slow! There's only one drive-thru lane open at a time and my burgers are always torn apart and the fries are usually always cold and hard.
Most of the employees are pretty great here. The food is never consistent though and they often forget to give me the ketchup I ask for. They've forgotten to put bacon on my bacon quarter pounder I don't know how many times or missed something else I asked for on my burger. I've also been given coffee instead of sweet tea and Dr pepper instead of coke. Sometimes the sweet tea also tastes awful, but overall the food is always good though compared to the other locations even when something was forgotten or messed up. I will also add that the drive-thru is super slow and they only have one lane open all...
