As someone who works at Chick-fil-A and understands how difficult it can be to work in food service I completely understand mistakes and stressful situations with busy lines and uncooperative customers. However this is the one time I have no sympathy for the employees as they very clearly did not want to be there and couldn’t even pretend to be somewhat civil to their guests. I don’t expect amazing service in any generic fast food restaurants. I understand most are understaffed and underpaid and work long hours. It’s not reasonable to go to a McDonald’s and expect a 5 star meal. Chick-fil-A as a corporation has made it their mission to change this narrative about fast food and aims to serve fresh food with service that makes customers feel like they matter. My experience at this Chick-fil-A did not meet my expectations of what service at Chick-fil-A should be like. First of all the employees were all over the place. With such a long line why was there only one person at a register? They kept moving around and no one was consistently standing at their register. Made sure to express my order clearly and it was correctly listed on the receipt. What I was given was so far off what I ordered it just seemed like they threw whatever they pleased in the bag and didn’t even care to check if it was correct. When I went back to ask for a missing item the woman admitted they gave me the wrong food. I thanked her and came back to realize another mistake. I went back again to ask them to give me the right item and the woman seemed annoyed and said “yeah I told you we messed up your order”. If you knew that our entire order was wrong why would you just stand there instead of making things right? I could have pointed out every little mistake that was made but I only came back for two items, I just dealt which what they gave me. Employees stood in the back arguing about what they should do. They came back and asked me to bring all the food back. Are you kidding me? First of all we had already touched it and realized it was all wrong we can’t give it back to you at that point. You’re also not supposed to ask customers to give the food back. Completely unprofessional and so unsanitary. I was baffled at how bad the service was and couldn’t believe that behavior like this is excused especially at a Chick-fil-A. Read moreMarleney (I believe was her name) was the one who took my order. She’s new, and she made a few mistakes, which is okay. I’ve worked hourly wages jobs and have struggled when I started. However, she had a bad attitude. She was rude, and barely spoke English. All I wanted was a Sunjoy with Unsweet Tea. She could barely understand what I wanted so she made the wrong drink twice. I also just wanted a spicy Southwest salad with no chicken. This girl had an attitude, kept forgetting that I wanted no chicken, and then later one after I’ve moved on to ordering the next thing would be like ‘what didn’t you want’. Um I wanted a large fries what do you mean ‘what do I not want’? And she rolls her eyes and sighs and then is like on the salad what do you not want. I fear I said no chicken 3 times before this oh my gosh. At the end of the order I resaid my entire order out loud to her to make sure she had everything write, but she didn’t even look at her screen and said yes it’s right and made a face.
