Big Boy — Restaurant in Woodhaven

As good as always This location has been a few different restaurants in the past with the most recently being Toast. It became part of the Big Boy Family in February of 2018. I Arrived at 9:00 and was greeted near the door. There were around 10 customers at the time. The wait staff consisted of a waitress and a hostess/server. I was offered coffee as I sat down and was given a menu. I selected the Eggs and Meat option. This was Especially for Seniors Menu. It consisted of Two eggs, Two strips of Bacon, Toast or Pancakes and includes bottomless coffee. What? Did I read that right? It INCLUDES coffee? Ok I am not the biggest fan of Big Boy coffee I find it slightly bitter but I couldn’t resist the price. My order arrived within a few minutes. The meal was neatly plated. Eggs were cooked to my liking and no residual grease Bacon was done but just on the edge of being crispy. The pancakes (two of them) were done perfectly not dry or overdone. The syrup is brought warm to the table in a squeeze bottle. The lid on the bottle was nearly broken off but workable. The design was not very well thought out, as it gets sticky from the syrup that inevitably gets all over the lid when its used, and is kind of a pain to open. I digress. The Breakfast was what I have come to expect from Big Boy as I have eaten at their establishments several times. Food done as ordered, quick service and a great value. I don’t think the name outside will be changing anytime soon. Makes me miss the location in Flat Rock that...

This location has gotten progressively worse over the last year. Today was it for us unfortunately. I will post photos that speak for themselves below. They are of our appetizer “Loaded Waffle Fries.” That TINY plate is it! A half handful of waffle fries on a tea plate with the tiniest amount of cheese sauce and bacon…it should’ve had ranch drizzle as well. When we said something as soon as it was brought to the table our waitress acted very annoyed and inconvenienced, we were one of TWO tables, so she had no reason to have such a weird attitude. She brought a ranch side to the table and said she was told “they only get ranch if they ask for it..” my boyfriend and I were visibly taken aback. $6.99 for that…I had a childish appetite today so I ordered a grilled cheese and asked them to add EXTRA CRISPY bacon to it and stressed that. The second photo is my burned to a crisp grilled cheese with raw rubbery bacon on it. And a kids sized amount of fries….$9.99 Oh and two fountain drinks for almost $7 that we never even got refills on. $40 for this experience and disappointing “meal”

they have FORCED us to take a new order of waffle fries as we are walking out the door because I’m typing up a review….theres no excuse and trying to force our appetizer into our hands as we’re already leaving is not making it right.

We were sat by the hostess and asked our drink order which didn’t come. After 15 minutes we asked the hostess for a server. After a debate (server & hostess) the server came over and apologized and explained why she didn’t think we were in her section but picked us up. I asked for wheat toast and received white, the pancakes were rubbery and the icing on the cake was the giant hair wrapped throughout my sausage (bacon & ham). I cut a slit in the sausages and broke the bacon in half just to be sure I was receiving new (also the plate had harden ketchup on the bottom which I didn’t have ketchup). The server took the plate back to have them re-make it and brought me back the exact same dirty plate (harden ketchup) with the EXACT SAME SAUSAGE AND BACON!! I asked did you just pull the hair off and give it back to me or did the cook. She at first denied it happened but after I explain and showed her the slits in the sausage, broken bacon and dirty plate the blame shifted to the cook Jim. I’m not sure who is at fault here but I was absolutely disgusted. We left immediately. It is very unfortunate because we have visited Millies before and really enjoyed it. I was not going to post on social media but after leaving my number and asking to please be contacted by the owner and not receiving a call I thought maybe this will get...
