We quickly picked rosie's after doing a quick restaurant search for places in woodland after a long afternoon of hiking at the ape caves. It had 4 out of 5 stars and so we thought this place had to be great... we were sorely disappointed. We seated right away (only 2 other people eating there) and got our drinks ordered really quick, and then we ordered our food. But then that is where it went down hill. 2 of us had waters and they never got refilled the entire time there, when our food finally was ready it didn't come at once... one of us got half their meal 10 minutes before anyone else and the rest of their own meal. Then everyone's order finally trickled in, but it still took another 10 or 15 minutes for everyone get their entire orders. 2 of us ordered the mt. Hood burger and the patties were burnt, the bacon was so crispy it snapped when touched and the fried egg on it was so over cooked it was hard. One of us ordered the biscuits and gravy and it tasted somewhat sour and they couldnt finish and the hashbrowns were undercooked and not seasoned at all. We were a larger party of 3 adults and 4 kids and Sadly the waitress seemed bothered by us and really didn't give us the time of day... for the most part we were the only people eating in there except at the very beginning for a few minutes and the last 5 minutes before we left. Only reason I gave it a 2 star instead of a 1 was the pancakes were very large and tasted good and the fries were good (but come on who screws up...
Read moreStopped by Rosie’s as I haven’t been there in years. Brought my Mom as her favorite place closed down recently and she was looking for a new one. Needless to say, we found a new breakfast place for her. The place is just like I’d remembered it from years ago, the staff was amazing and super friendly and the food was perfect. Rosie’s has that old (clean) diner feel to it with 70s/80s country playing, the staff treating you like they’ve known you forever, and food cooked just like you’d expect. We had omelettes and they were great. You could tell they weren’t like other places that skimp and add in pancake batter (yep, some places do that). The omelettes were cooked perfectly and had a great balance of filling (I had a Denver, Mom went with ham and cheese). The hashbrowns were fantastic; crispy but not over done. Mom had a biscuit which she said was good and I had some gluten free toast (I’m not celiac, but the staff even made a point of letting me know they were giving my butter instead of margarine as that has gluten in it; didn’t expect them to go to that level but what a nice touch). Good luck trying to finish off a cup of coffee without getting it refilled; the staff are all over that and make sure you’re never looking at an empty cup. I’ve tried just about every breakfast spot (Rosie’s isn’t just breakfast though) between Longview and Washougal and Rosie’s ranks among the...

Huge menu for such a small restaurant, and breakfast all day. It's got a roadside diner feel, in a good way. Rosie introduced herself soon after we got our food and she was all smiles.
The servers teamed up to ensure we had everything we needed. Coffee was fresh and refilled as needed, so was the tea. Breakfast was hot and ready in about 25 minutes. I had "Grandma's Breakfast Special" - the half size - and it was more than enough for this 225 lb grown man after a weekend of camping. Sausage gravy on top of eggs, ham, and veggies. Cheese melted on top. Superb.
My table mates ordered their meals and had to tap out due to the size of the pancakes. These were hearty, fluffy, thick pancakes made to perfection. All of us were happy with our meals.
Food was great, atmosphere was great, speed was great, service was great. No complaints from us. We'll be...
