CHECK YOUR FOOD and CHECK YOUR BILL. We haven't visited this location in about 3 years because our last visit was awful, now last night it proved that nothing has improved here after all that time.

If you eat here, please CHECK YOUR FOOD. We found inedible things in our food like aluminum foil, it was a sandwich where there's no reason for that to be there INSIDE it. For some reason, the sandwich also had completely different meat mixed in around the same place we found the foil, which is extremely worrying because that makes me think we just ate someone elses leftovers. My food also had random hard pieces in it that tasted like old potatoes mixed in with new ones, which still confuses me even now. Our sandwich was taken off the bill and the server just kind of took it from us without any other type of consolation, they honestly looked at a loss for words and that does not speak well for how often this may happen here.

We get ready to leave and receive our bill, which had the sandwich removed and only had an order for one person now with two drinks: $45. Sorry, what? $45?? How does that make sense? Turns out- this location puts a MANDATORY SERVICE CHARGE 15% on your bill. No matter what. You feed us an order full of presumably old food and one that even has ALUMINUM FOIL INSIDE IT which someone could had eaten and been harmed, and this place has the nerve to put a service charge on my bill?? I didn't pay you to feed us inedible food.

I question the lady upfront and she says "It's tip." Mandatory tip, placed on my bill, when I had a horrible experience that no one should ever reasonably have to pay for. It is a joke. Lady even still gestured towards me adding MORE tip when I was paying at the kiosk. A chain restaurant as big as Double T has NO business putting a service charge on their bills. Pay your employees. Serve fresh food that doesn't contain foreign objects in it, and you won't have to worry about your customers not tipping. As someone who always tips even when things go bad (because a lot of the time it isn't even the servers fault, they should still get paid), this was the biggest insult ever.

If you care about your health and time at all and want to have a pleasant dining experience where you aren't pointlessly robbed, do NOT eat at this location. I hate to say it but they deserve to close down. Go anywhere...

Overall, we had an underwhelming experience. We where a larger party and stopped in for the 1st time. Typical diner atmosphere, great food options, the menu is plentiful so this is sure to please everyones taste buds. The food was nothing spectacular, greasy edible diner food. Missing some items as stated on the menu but really nothing major! The eggs benedict however where boiled eggs so if you are an aficionado, stay far from it. A side note, there is a 15% service charge for anything over $35 and it was pretty hard to pay because the service....wow. The service, truly terrible. We where seated rather quickly on a Sunday morning but that was as good as it got. Our waitor, older gentleman, definitely got our order wrong from the beginning. He spoke very abruptly, fast and was moving a 100 miles a minute. He repeated our order verbally, and accurately but our group could tell this would not end well as it was very large order and he wrote nothing down. We gave him the benefit of the doubt anyways. When I went to tell him what was wrong with our order, he very rudely and aggressively berated me and told me I did not order that, this was what we received cause thats what I asked for and before I could even respond he was screaming at me some more. He did correct the mistake he made but with zero humility and maintained his atrocious demeanor. All said and done, based off service alone I will be not returning and just urge bigger groups to tread at their own risk. Definitely could've handled this more professionally as it could've been an honest mistake on either party. Unfortunately that was not the case...

Food was a serious issue today. Who makes cream of crab with a red tinge? Half and half maybe but no. Asked them to replace with MD crab, and found evidence of chicken in the soup (shredded chicken is a common replacement for crab for people with shell fish allergy). So no crab meet in the soup but did find chicken fat and bone. Could not find any crab in the cream of crab. Anyway enough about soup. My main was a gyro platter. After taking a few bites, not very outstanding at all where gyro are concerned. Pre packaged and pre cooked meat. Not off a rotisserie. But the straw that broke the camel's back was a couple hairs that I found in between the meat and the pita. See the attached pic. There was a third I found after the pic. Waiter tried to say the hair was a brush bristle. Well you have to come up with a better system if you cooking methods make hair like substance appear on the plate. Wife had Chicken tenders. Menu said 4, she got 8 half sized ones and they were cooked very dark like the grease needs changed or at least filtered. If that was the only issue we would have given a much better review. Alcohol served from a drink making "Bar" at the door that looked like a bomb hit it. By far the most unappealing area of the store. Looks like a teenager's bedroom. If you are going to have a bar that you want to be presentable to the customers, well make it presentable. There is a very nice looking dessert case with a lot of large treats. We did not partake at that point because we wanted to get out of there as fast...

The Double T Diner fits the bill in terms of having that nice 50 to 60s feel as opposed to a really modern restaurant. Their menu however is quite large, almost staggeringly so. They have branched out incredibly and offer an amazing array of foods. From that standpoint, this is no ordinary Diner. This one was very comfortable, I was seated almost immediately and greeted very quickly by a waitress. I chose the chicken salad triple-decker sandwich which was so big I could not eat it at one sitting. I got enough fries to choke a horse with it, and the coleslaw that came with it was excellent as well. They actually have cream of crab, Shrimp Bisque, and sometimes a seafood bisque on the weekends. I will definitely go back for that. The dessert offerings were unbelievable, and are strategically located way in the front so that when you enter you walk right past them. Pretty smart move, that. So many choices, too little time. I was so full from my oversized dinner serving that I could not possibly enjoy a dessert. I'll save that for next time. All in all, slightly to the pricey side - but you absolutely get what you're paying for. Plenty of food and really terrific food at that. On a scale of 1 to 10 this place gets an 11. In summation, I was thrilled and absolutely suggested for nearly anyone. 3 thumbs up and well worth the drive.
