Very unfriendly, uncaring and in Human Closing Staff. I work in Laurel and live in Catonsville. After work I rushed to Catonsville Store Clearly 4-5 Minutes before Closing at 9 pm. I kept knocking on the door at two employees who were Cleaning while Customers walked out. One was preventing entry and shouting we are closed. I pleaded that i only need a Gallon of Milk and here is the Cash. I will stand outside and wait for you for the Milk which I need for a handicapped Child. It all fell on deaf ears. They even laughed at me for standinding there so long and not going to 7 eleven and why Iwas standing there. I even said I will make a complaint, you had closed early and have no respect. The tall Healthy Afro American who I had not seen before and must be only few days old at this store clearly said FU from the store doors and stop bothering him. One of your customer heard my begging for Milk for a Handicapped Child and insisted to take her Gallon of Milk Free. I insisted on paying to her but she would not take any Money. It goes to show there are still some Good Samaritan in this World. But you did not employ any of these Employee who may have a kind Heart. I will write about this to every madi, as I have been Laughed at, Hurt and Ridiculed only because I have not been born here and an Asian Born. But I am an American Citizen and have been paying my share of Taxes for the last 18 years.. I deserve a better treatment...

Read moreI think a lot of people don't understand that Aldi has limited amenities/luxuries (such as "free" carts and bagging, huge selection, specialty items, etc) in order to keep their cost way down. The reason that Giant, Safeway and others cost twice as much is because all of those things contribute to their overall bottom line. So, Aldi does its own thing: excellent food (a lot is organic!) for rock bottom prices. I can shop for a hungry family of 4 for $50 a week (including diapers, cat litter, and paper goods). If you need a specialty ingredient for a recipe, you may have to hit another store -- that's fine. Aldi also has excellent, friendly customer service and appears to treat its employees very well. They check customers out lightning fast due to their bag-your-own setup, so even long lines diminish...
