Skeleton Key Brewery — Restaurant in Woodridge

What an awesome place to go and enjoy a cold beer. The owners are such great people and very friendly. They immediately make you feel like a regular customer, even if it's your first time. They run it like an old Ma & Pa establishment. They take their time to really get to know their customers. I just can't believe it took me so long to go and check this gem out. From the outside it looks very small, but once you enter and walk towards the back by the bar, you're like wow!! It's a big place. I'm definitely going to become a regular patron at this wonderful establishment. Update 04/30/2022 As everyone knows that Skeleton key was devastated by a tornado in June of 2021 and forced them to close for reconstruction. Well... great news!!! they are finally open once again. The original section is now fully operational and remodeled, the bar was also extended to accommodate more patrons. So come on by and enjoy their delicious beers. I really like the way they opened up the place by putting a half wall with glass windows, looking good. I can't wait to see the new section and the outside patio open. Skeleton Key has quickly become my new favorite brewery in the western burbs. The three owners and staff are all awesome and friendly. Service has always been quick no matter how busy they are.

The location can be slightly hard to find from the road at first. The common room in front is great for bringing in food to eat (usually have food trucks on the weekend) or if you want to converse more with friends. It is a comfortable spot to sit with kids and play games as well. The bar/taproom area in the back is nice and spacious. The bar seats close to a dozen with ample seating/standing areas around. There is a shuffleboard setup along with one TV generally playing muted movies in favor of music.

They only serve their own beer, with a 48-ounce limit similar to other breweries in the area. Since they have not been open too long, new beers are still coming to fill out their lineup. Everything thus far has been good, with the Saudade Wit and Friends Don't Lie APA being...

I came here a few weeks ago & don’t get me wrong the drinks were great but our server came by one time then never came back when it wasn’t even busy & decided to just hang out at the bar talking to the other bartenders until we finally were able to flag her down, but didn’t end there. We needed our next drink & she kept looking directly at us as she sat down at a table & DRANK with her friends or something 3 feet away so we had to go to the bar to get our drinks as she watched us & she never came back…cherry on top of the cake is we looked for her for one last drink & my friend saw her leave the place without coming back to even give us our checks/cards or let us know she was leaving……I don’t like to leave reviews like this but I was excited for this place & I won’t come back to service like that.
