A pretty decent spot if you're OTP. Would've given 3.7ish overall if I could've.
The good: service was excellent. Friendly, prompt, and helpful.
The bad: with its high ceilings and parallel walls, this place was incredibly noisy. Even with my noise-canceling headphones, I almost had to cancel my order and leave because of how much the noise was stressing me out. It was fine when I walked in but I seemed to arrive moments ahead of the 9:00 a.m. brunch crowd. If you come at off hours, I'm sure it's fine. That said, it was very clean and, at only 5 ft 6, I appreciated the taller seats and lower tables. Spartan decor, but I don't go out to eat to look at the walls. But if you're sensitive to loud noise, maybe skip this spot until they hang some sound absorbing baffles or tiles from the ceiling.
The okay: I had the asparagus and smoked salmon omelette. Correctly cooked, generous portion for the price, fresh ingredients. I'm always a little concerned about things being made with too much hollandaise so I asked the server if it was cooked inside the omelette or spread on top. They said they didn't know and, instead of asking the cook, insisted on serving it on the side. I think this was a mistake. I suspect it was supposed to be made with the hollandaise cooked inside the omelette. It tasted kind of weird, slimey and off with the hollandaise just slathered on top. That's on me. I should have trusted the cook to know what they were doing. Also, the whole thing was too salty for my taste. That said, the grits served on the side were lovely. Creamy, cheesy, and smooth without being runny. No additional salt or seasoning required.
Overall, a pretty decent brunch spot in a place where few options beyond Starbucks, Dunkin, and Krispy Kreme exist. Definitely not top five in the metro area yet, as other reviewers (who, understandably, probably don't want to venture inside the city from here if they don't have to...) have claimed. But well on its way in that direction. I'll be up this way running the same errand in the future and will likely give A&M a second chance when it's less busy, and with the knowledge that I don't need to second-guess the cook. For now, A&M gets a solid B, and I'm a tough grader. I give B's to plenty of fancy, overpriced brunch places in the city too.
A final note: despite anything else I said above, I still tipped 20%. It's 2025. Nothing short of them dumping your food in your lap is cause to dock a service...

Every time we try to eat here, there is a big wait. This time we added ourselves to the waitlist online and got there at 9:30. When we arrived there was a gentleman who opened the door for us guests. We checked ourselves in with the host.
The menu is a good size and offers savory and sweets. We got a hot cup of coffee with cream, benny skillet, bananas foster French toast and farmer's breakfast.
Benny skillet was savory, the potatoes were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, and the poached eggs were cooked fabulously. We did get the hollandaise sauce on the side but later added it to the food. It went really well together.
Their bananas foster French toast was yummy! I was definitely craving something sweet, and this dish met my craving. The French toast was soft, the bananas were caramelized, and the pecans gave it a crunch. I chose the bacon; they were nice and crisp. Paired with hot coffee with cream.
The farmer's breakfast was delicious. A classic scrambled egg, bacon, buttermilk biscuit, buttery grits and strawberry jam. It was all so good and tasted downright southern. The grits were buttery and creamy. The biscuit was huge, and the buttermilk taste paired wonderfully with the strawberry jam.
They were busy and they were able to be attentive which was awesome. The atmosphere is family friendly and comfortable. Had a good experience and was excited to finally be able to sit and dine with A&M Kitchen. They also have catfish on the menu and years ago they had porkchop. They are really offering unique breakfasts which excite us for future visits. I can’t wait to come back...
