We drove across town to try this place and more than likely won’t come back. The food itself was great and had good flavor but that was really the only good part. After ordering it took a very long time to receive a glass of wine and a hummus appetizer, 2 simple things to prepare. We are pretty patient people but after a while we had to ask if they were still coming. The place is kinda small so there’s not that many people to serve. While waiting we couldn’t help but notice a heavy collection of dust on the light fixture right above our table as well as brown splatters of food on the wall right next to us. Makes you wonder how clean the kitchen is? I ordered the ultimate meat platter and as mentioned the flavor was great but the serving wad a little small and I feel there should’ve been plates with more of a variety of items. This was just meat on rice with a side of hummus and bread. I guess we are used to eating at Jerusalem Bakery in Marietta who have amazing platters of food with all kinds of different stuff on them for the same price. I think we will take the extra drive and eat there again next time. This place was okay but we just weren’t feeling it. Atmosphere was pretty boring and they were playing very weird music...
Read moreThe Sahara Grill is a hidden gem that delivers on every front. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality—it’s the kind of place where the staff truly makes you feel like family. They’re not just friendly; they’re invested in making sure your experience is exceptional every single time.
What really stands out, though, is the freshness and authenticity of every ingredient. You can taste the care in every bite—from the perfectly seasoned meats to the crisp veggies and fluffy pita. It’s clear that quality is a priority, and nothing feels mass-produced or overly processed.
If you’re looking for value, the $11 wrap and side meal is unbeatable. The portion size is generous, the wrap is packed with flavor, and the sides (especially the hummus and rice) are just as crave-worthy. It’s a satisfying meal that feels like it should cost more than it does.

Read moreThis place is, in a word, phenomenal. My husband and I started eating here when we lived in Woodstock, and now that we live in Marietta, it is still worth the drive. I'm a huge fan of Mediterranean food, especially when it's in a place that's family-owned and local, so this spot is perfect for me. One bite of the falafel transported me right back to the amazing street food in Israel. My husband said the gyro meat is the juiciest he's had (I don't eat meat so I can't really speak on that but I trust his word). The baba ghanoush is creamy and flavorful, the pita is always warm and soft, and the baklava...WOW! It's hard to find baklava that has a perfectly crispy texture while being nice a tender in the middle with a beautiful nutty honey flavor. The service is always friendly. They make you feel like they've known you all their lives and we almost always leave with a free hummus appetizer coupon. This spot is 10/10, five stars, and a standing ovation. Garlik Grill is perfect...
