Oliver's Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Woodstock

My nephew LOVES Olivers since they 1st opened. So when I asked him where he wanted to go for his bday dinner that's where he chose. Well let me start by saying our food was excellent except don't recommend the Dumpling Soup very bland. . But unfortunately our waitress Missy, was a bit rude. & Not very kid friendly.we had 8 kids in our party. She seemed very bothered by there want for a pop refill and side off ranch - by the way is a charge and it was for the chicken fingers. Never been to a restaurant that charges for that. Also it was burger night so that's what my sisters, nephew ordered, well ketchup and mustard are free but ask for some Mayo & its a charge. I also was disappointed paid $10 for 1 and a half potatoes that barely had cheese or bacon on them, anywhere else you get 5 or 6. So definitely not worth it. This place had a very sports bar atmosphere. Which usually I am not a huge fan of. But the lay out and surrondings were quite relaxing and enjoyable. The menu was limited and they didn't have prime rib which is usually their Saturday special.😥 Hoping to one day try this. As this is the second time I have been here and this was not available. We had Liam as our server. He was very well mannered and personable. He listened well and was very respectful. Started off with the pickle chips. They arrived at the table piping hot. They were good but not anything special when it comes to pickle chips. I personally had the full slab of ribs. The barbecue sauce was tangy with a bit of a kick. So many things wrong here. #1- everyone working here looks and acts completely MISERABLE. The hostess and the waiter. Both of them were like sad and sleepy. Not a single soul smiled even briefly. #2- Their $17 appetizer consisted of "4" chicken nuggets, that they call wings, a sorry excuse of a cheese quesadilla, 4 walmart mozzarella sticks, and a toddler's handful of onion rings. Im not exaggerating. #3- When i asked the waiter if this pathetic amount of food is correct for $17, he said yes. I said "how" he said "just the way it is" and left. Sorry about your tip, bro.
