Waffle House — Restaurant in Woodstock

Sunday 29th of September, approximately 130am, went here, waitress young Spanish woman led me to my table and wipe down the entire booth, A1 service.

The cook and the waitress brought my food out in portions, very pleasant like, food tasted spectacular. Waitress checked in on me, A1 service.

Unfortunately on the flip side, the cook and waitress were having a conversation. The cook was extremely aggressive and being verbally abusive to the waitress. The conversation was very disturbing being that the cook was so loud.

Another patron stood up but didn't say anything. Obviously he felt uncomfortable with the atmosphere as well, but reframed from saying anything and was adamant in at least standing up in defiance of the cooks behavior.

The waitress was infact intimidated by the cook, and began to apologize to the cook...

I advised her not to apologize, she had done nothing wrong..I told the cook he was representing waffle house and shouldn't be disrespectful to his coworkers, especially in front of customers, the atmosphere was unbelievable listening to this man disrespect, intimidate and blatantly have no consideration for the patrons.

The cook accused me and other patrons of jumping on him, I asked and encouraged them to not get aggressive payed my tab and told that waitress to never let anyone talk to her like that. Unfortunately she was in tears.

Couldn't imagine being in a hostile work environment like that, fathers hold your daughters, sisters, mothers and cousins!!! This new generation is different and these young men...

walked in today 8/19/23 at 2pm. There was only 2 people on staff. And all the tables were full of dirty plate and cups. It seemed that the conversation that the waitress was having with her friend about how she doesn’t hang out with other friends of theirs was more important than cleaning out one table for us to sit at. We were the only ones waiting to sit. And there was only 2 tables with people. All the bar and 5 tables were all dirty. And this waitress was doing is staking up and reorganizing other dirty plates that were at the end of the table while she had a blast chatting away with her friend. After 2-3 mins of us just standing and waiting… she finally made eye contact and I asked her if one of the table were available for us to use. Once we sat down, she just kept on going chatting away with her friend. The cook had to believer all the food to the table behind us. So we gave her 60 seconds to at least turn around and look at us…. Times was up and we just left. We Had no reason to have to call her to the table. We shouldn’t have to take turns for their attention from her talking to her friend. Or was it that we were a Latino family and she didn’t want to waist her time with...

I was taken care of by the only waitress in the restaurant who was beyond nice and courteous. Name I believe was Maddy and very personable and fast to help. BUT I had to deal with one of the RUDEST cooks ever. Could not catch his name (better believe I would've posted it), but after I put in my order at 8:42p; he made it widely known that I was holding him up from being off at 9p. He made several comments and gave a very cold attitude whenever he was spoken to by me or his own co-worker. He made one of two orders and took his time to "clean" each grill before he made my second order. Why the pause in between, I have zero idea. But I spent over half an hour waiting on my food when I was the only customer in there. Whether it be close to the end of a shift, a customer's time is value too. I've been in food service for years and understand after a long day you want to be off on time. But the way I was treated was disrespectful, unprofessional, and just down right a rude interaction to another human being. I'm not going to hold it against all waffle houses or anything but will never visit this particular...
