Mom’s Home Cooking — Restaurant in Woonsocket

I had high hopes. I love these small. Hole in the wall type places. The reviews were great so i tried it. Let me start by saying the lady there was a sweetheart and i so wish i coukd give a better review for her. Now the food... the nime chow was delicious. I'd give it an 8. 5 out of 10. The pad thai was pretty good I'd give that 7.5 out of 10. The crab rangoon was delicious... 9 out of 10. Now the bad...The beef teriyaki was some of the worst I've had. It's tiny and so dry. It was almost like beef jerky on a stick. 4 out of 10. The orange chicken was also pretty bad. Chicken was dry and the tiny pieces were very hard to chew. The sauce was almost like a bbq sauce not orange. IId give that a 3 out of 10. I'm undecided if ill go back. If i do ill certainly not order any beef teriyaki or...

Get the Wings! Get lots of Mom's Wings!

Mom's is great little joint almost hidden on a side street in Woonsocket. Their Lao & Thai dishes are among the best in the area - deeply flavorful curries, luscious noodles and spicy stir-fries and heart-warming soups.

The appetizers, however, hold some true standouts. Crab Rangoons which are more savory than sweet and light, super crisp Scallion Pancakes which are as good as I've ever had.

But the Wings... Mom's spicy Thai Wings are on another level. The perfect balance of umami, heat & salt all packed with a wicked crunch to the skin. If word takes off on these awesome wings, Mom is going to need a bigger fryolator...

BTW - It's called Mom's Home Cooking for a reason. Make sure you say hi to her and her husband when you go. Nicest...

This has got to be the city of Woonsockets hidden gem. Everything I have ordered from Mom's Home Cooking has been extremely delicious and just when I though it couldn't get better, I see that they now offer Bahn Mi sandwiches and I can tell you first hand they are very VERY good!

The family that runs this are kind ,friendly and are an absolute pleasure to interact with whether you're getting take out or eating in. I notice they get hands on involved with the preparation of every order and they clearly have the quality control dialed in!

I think they do more take out than than dine in because there are only 3 small tables for eating in.
