I have been a customer of BJP for almost 3 years now. It has taken a while for me to come to the point where I feel I need to share my experience with you all. I must admit that I am, at this point, an extremely dissatisfied customer who has had numerous issues with this company and their inability to even try to resolve these issue.
I have tried to stick with them since I have not found a lot of other better options, and while I also do like their on-line ordering app and their selection. However, I have come to the decision never to purchase from this company ever again.
More than half of the time they did not deliver my order correctly. I have come to expect that I will receive the wrong side sauces, the wrong toppings on my sub or pizza, the wrong type of chicken wings ... I always order on-line so that it is documented.
When I called to talk to them they admitted that they keep making these mistakes and always use the excuse that they have "new help" in the kitchen. They also admit that this is the most basic thing in ordering pizza take out - to get the order correct! Yet, time and time again it happens. Turnover appears to be a very big problem.
They have twice "given" me a credit on my account due to these incorrect orders. However, whenever I call and ask to use my credit there is no credit! Everyone I speak to claims ignorance and last night the supervisor yelled at the young man on the phone to "just say if there is no credit on the screen then he gets no credit!"
Their food is mediocre at best and very inconsistent. The drivers have become very unpleasant to deal with as well. There is never a "hello" or "thank you" ... all they demand is: "Do you have the credit card you orderd with? If not, then go get it!"
Which is another interesting thing to me. They are the only delivery restaurant in Worcester I am aware of that makes you have the credit card in hand when you receive your delivery. They need to scratch the number onto the receipt again... for a second time (since it has already been run through on their end once prior to the delivery). This is supposed to safeguard them from students ordering large amounts of food on a parent's card and then having angry parents calling to say that they will refuse to pay for the order. I get that. However, it is just "piling on" at this point ... another inconvenience; another way in which they offer poor serive and take out their negative emotions on loyal customers .... "Go get the card if you don't have it in hand!" What a way to greet someone who opens the door to you. It really makes me laugh.
In short: mediocre food, inconsistent quality, inability to deliver the correct order, a lack of caring for customers who have spent quite a bit of money with them already, dishonesty in promising credits and no motivation whatsoever to try to correct the situation or run an honest business.
They just don't care. And, as long as they continue to get all of the volume orders from the college students and the money just keeps on flowing in, they will not change.
I will never order from them again. I am only one customer who they obviously care nothing about, but I do have integrity and refuse to line the pockets of such a business.
It is disrepect, disregard, horrible service, and greed...
Read moreMy family has been ordering Blue Jeans for about 8 years now and for the most part haven't experienced many issues. Occasionally we have experienced missing sauces and once and a while the order is wrong which is to be expected for any establishment. On average we spend about 60 dollars a week. My husband and I value honesty and integrity and this is very important in a world full of liars and cheats. We received an incorrect order, called to inform them of the issue and were informed they would need to make a new order and take back the old order, this would have been fine however we were hungry and proceeded to eat while calling at the same time, because our intention wasn't to get a refund or even a replacement for that matter. The manner in which the situation was treated was just really disheartening and we were basically being treated as if we were trying to scam someone. The manager told us well "the cook says he did!" I worked customer service for 10 years and this is just not the way you treat customers. I could maybe see the side of the manager if it were a random customer but we spend our hard earned money at this establishment almost every week. Being dissatisfied with the response I was getting I asked to speak with the owner and he did eventually call me back. However proceeded to tell us that we called in and asked for a 60 dollar credit off the bat.....which is what the manager said. Well that was the begining of the call so we could pretty much tell that he (Steve) the owner had already made up his mind. This owner sounded tired, and uninterested in our issue with his establishment. I am sure that on occasion he deals with scum bag customers, but that isn't us! (Steve) could care less that someone from his team lied about my husband and I patrons of his establishment who chose his business to spend our hard earned money. We could easily take our business somewhere else, and I am pretty sure the customers are what pays the bills for Blue Jeans at the end of the day. The food is ok, not great, not bad, but the service..... Not worth our hard earned money anymore.... I don't know a lot of people who are willing to throw money away but apparently Blue Jeans Pizza can afford to lose great customers and not think twice about it. I decided to look Blue Jeans up on Glassdoor and it appears he treats his staff just as bad. Not surprising go check it out. There is no option for half star so Steve you get one star for terrible customer service. For anyone looking for great pizza and other delicious food one block over is Antonio's Pizza, the sauce is amazing, they serve alcohol, and the customer service is...
Read moreI've been ordering from here for a long time because the food is genuinely pretty good. However, last night I had an awful customer service experience. I had ordered a pizza and mozzarella sticks and when it was delivered I realized they put mushrooms on the pizza when I did not ask for that. I'm allergic to mushrooms and my husband doesn't like them so figuring we both weren't going to eat it we tossed it in our garbage out the back of the building and called to tell them it was incorrect. The initial response I received was that they would like the original pizza back when they delivered the new correct pizza. After telling them we had thrown it in our dumpster the manager then proceeded to tell us to go in the dumpster and get it back out. I'm not sure if they thought we were lying or something but asking us to dig a pizza out of a dumpster to return to the restaurant that made it incorrectly is a massive health code violation. Even if it wasn't in the dumpster- In Massachusetts, it is a violation of health codes for a restaurant to take food back after it has been delivered to a customer. According to the Massachusetts Food Code, once food has been served to a customer, it cannot be reused or re-served, even if returned. The food may have been exposed to contamination, improper handling, or unsafe temperatures, which could pose a risk to health and safety. We hung up and decided we would just never order from them again because what else untoward goes on in that kitchen we don't know about was really unsettling. We then decided on re-heating leftovers instead. 10min later they called back to say it was a mistake on their end and they were going to send us the new pizza and we didn't have to dig through the dumpster and return the original pizza.
I've never had this experience with any other restaurant and I will never order from them again. What else goes on that is a potential health code violation in this...
