Bear with me for a moment while I rave about this place. I’ve been reviewing on google maps for 3 years now and I’ve been to many more breakfast places, but this might just be the BEST BREAKFAST RESTAURANT/CAFE I have been to! (Only one other place, in Houston, Texas, can compare).
I had the STOP breakfast sandwich, a caramel latte, and a Nutella crepe with strawberries and banana and let me tell you, there was not a single bad thing about the entire meal. The brought out the latte right away and it was absolutely delicious, then ~10 minutes later they brought out the sandwich and I could tell it was freshly cooked, because it’s definitely the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. The combination of perfectly cooked eggs, well-crisped bacon, tomatoes, iceberg lettuce, and feta cheese on panini bread was absolutely delicious!
Then, they must have been paying attention to me, because they waited to bring out the crepe (which was dessert) until I was on the last bite of my sandwich. The crepe was perfectly warm and the Nutella was still melty and delicious. The strawberries were fresh and the banana was perfectly ripe. Y’all when I tell you this was the perfect sandwich followed by a perfect crepe I mean it.
The atmosphere was also amazing, with wondrous smells coming from the kitchen, large glass windows looking out to their garden-like patio, and calming music playing in another language. Each table even had a little plant on it that made the restaurant feel just that much more like the original idea of a cafe — to sit and relax, talk, and enjoy your food.
This is also one of the best-priced restaurants in Worcester, just to add to its excellence. My entire meal of a large sandwich, good-sized coffee, and crepe big enough to share between two people (yes I know I ate it all, I was hungry), was only $17. Compared to many restaurants in the area where a single small pizza can run you $20, that was a steal.
I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly to anyone trying to find a breakfast cafe to relax at on a calming weekend morning. They serve breakfast until 4:00pm, so even if you wake up at 12:00, don’t be afraid to come. Please just give it a try! I an absolutely honored for this to be my 50th review, and I hope you love this restaurant as...
Read moreI have been to Stop Cafe twice- once in both locations. The coffee was great and everyone was very friendly. The vibe gets a 5 and the coffee gets a 5. They had Turkish coffee which I have not seen in the area. My wife and I ordered food the other day and were super disappointed in the amount. We ordered a couple of things in their DINNER section of their menu assuming they would be appetizer size but there was a borderline hilariously small amount of food. Our quebapa 5 piece came with 5 but they were the size of an average pinky. The suxhuk came with two truly tiny slices of sausage. Both were in a creamy sauce and both came with bread. We might have expected too much for what we paid but these things took up about 1/100th of the container they came in. I knew I was in trouble when I picked up the bag and felt air. I’d be tempted to drop the stars here because we ended up having to go get more food somewhere else … but the food tasted SO GOOD. That tiny little bit of sausage was probably one of the best sausages I have ever had. I was super aggravated that there was such a small amount. I cut it up into tiny pieces so it would last longer like some Dickens character. So bottom line- the food was good enough that despite spending over 20 bucks on about a cup of food I still gave it an...
Read moreThe place to go if you want the wrong order. The place was empty and only one person eating there at 11 am so that should have been my sign to leave. First off, the orange juice was sour and tasted off. Unsure if it was expired or only made with the orange peels. The tres leches was okay but had a weird hard skin between the caramel and cake which had a strange consistency. The muffin I'll give a pass on as they did inform me at pick up that they didn't have the one I ordered but in the case it looks like they had chocolate chip in there or other options and they gave me a corn muffin without asking or contacting me to offer me another option or a refund for the item. But the biggest issue- the sandwhich. I ordered the breakfast sandwhich, simple, egg, meat, American cheese. That's not what I got. For some strange reason it was an egg sandwhich with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, bacon, sausage of some form, and ricotta cheese. It baffles my mind and a majority of my meal today went straight to the trash. Disappointed overall and had to order food elsewhere to...
