Even though my boyfriend is not vegan, he came here with me to celebrate my birthday dinner. We were also on our way from Maine to a wedding in Massachusetts, and this was recommended on my HappyCow app. I ordered us spring rolls, sushi, lo mein, and cheesecake. It is the best meal that I have had in a long time, and he agreed. We were both very sad to learn that we could not buy their sweet and sour sauce in a bottle because it was the best sweet and sour sauce that either of us has ever had in our lifetime. I really hope that we drive through this area again soon because I am already craving their food again. The service and ambience were also excellent. I highly recommend this spot to anyone passing through, and I am super jealous of those who live nearby. I am sorry for the picture of the more-than-half-eaten cheesecake, but I did not think to take pictures until this point because I was so busy eating the food. Also, the meal was very reasonably priced. We were both very surprised when we saw that the check was way less than what we both were expecting to pay for such an...
Read moreMoved to Worcester area around 3 years ago, and being long time vegan, stopped into Loving Hut soon after getting settled. Met Dan, who took my take out order and had wonderful conversation with Dan on Loving Hut 's history and world wide presence. Was moved by his personable and easy manner. I knew, even before eating my meal, that this restaurant would become a regular visit in my life. And so it has been. Best Asia eats I have ever had, and mozzarella sticks to die for! Last Winter Solstice season my wife and a group of a dozen or so friends came into Loving Hut to enjoy part of the holidays dining together. Up until this time, I had ordered take out exclusively. Did not realize how much better the food was straight from the kitchen, I mean significantly enhanced, more lively and flavorfull, hard to believe how it could be that much better. Have not ordered take out since. Our family of three are overjoyed Loving Hut is a part of our lives! Have many favorite dishes and appetizers. Always a...
Read moreFirst, I'm not vegan. The person I went with is, and I'm always open to new things, so I figured, "Why not?" Would I go back? If I needed to go somewhere with a lot of vegan options, based on whomever I was dining with, sure, why not?The food was all pretty good. I especially thought that the spring rolls were good.
The only problem is, as a meat eater, I know what meat tastes like. So, when they call something "Chick'n" it should taste more like chicken. So when I have something pretending to be scallops and chicken, and neither the taste nor the texture is right, it leaves me feeling a little off. I wish they labeled things better. Maybe calling things "Inspired by Chicken" instead of the description making it sound like "fake" chicken would make it seem more genuine. Vegan tastes, since they are used to non-meat, may feel it's a close approximation. But for those ranging out, it comes...
