For a unique ice cream experience, I've been a regular at Las Cerezas. Their homemade ice cream is a standout, always fresh, creamy, and bursting with flavor. While a custard shop may be nearby, Las Cerezas is the real deal for great ice cream.
Recently, I've tried their non-dessert food, and I have to say their tacos are delicious. I had intended to take a picture of the steak tacos however, I ate them way too quickly since they looked great when the plate came to my table. LOL. But yeah, steak tacos - AWESOME! I also did not see any fat in the tacos, and they were also not greasy. They were just really good!
Despite my usual preference for card payments, I'm more than willing to make an exception for Las Cerezas. The quality of their ice cream and tacos is worth the extra effort. If you're used to the local chain ice cream shop, prepare to be pleasantly surprised by Las Cerezas.

Read moreThis was our second visit. Great atmosphere, service and food. We had a taco dinner, one chicken one steak, and a bowl. Meat was fresh, lettuce crispy and portions a good size. Tacos are not fancy and most of the flavor comes how I prefer, from the protein. Very home-cooked inspired. Rice was a little clumpy, but it was end of day and we were the only guests so I don’t expect them to make a new batch. Salsa was good but not the chunky variety I prefer, and the serving tin was small so you need to break your chips to fit. Price was fair, no alcohol reduces the incentive to drink and increase the cost. The best taco place for miles, will try the ice cream sometime because there are a LOT of flavors, some I’ve never seen. I realize some people will give this place 4 or even 3 stars based on “blandness” but I find it refreshing that Las Cerezas is keeping things simple with basic quality ingredients and not exaggerating the flavor with exotic spices or...
Read moreI absolutely love this frutería and nevería! The food is always fresh, made with quality ingredients, and the prices are very reasonable. I’ve tried just about everything—tacos, gorditas, quesadillas, dinner plates, wraps, burrito bowls, ice cream, and even the flan—and it’s all delicious.
This spot has become a true staple in Oak Lawn. The atmosphere is laid-back and café-style, perfect for enjoying a variety of refreshing drinks like watermelon juice, Jamaica, horchata, and more. Almost everything is made from scratch, especially the gorditas, which are a must-try!
The staff is always warm, personable, and friendly. I always leave full and satisfied. Next time I visit, I’ll be sure to snap some photos—because trust me, your taste buds will thank you. If you haven’t been here yet, don’t wait. You’re in...
