Flap Jacks of Oak Lawn — Restaurant in Worth Township

Went to FedEx . After that we still had other errands. We saw Flap Jacks Breakfast and lunch hidden in the middle of the mall . Kind of hidden. We Decided to try it. We walked in not knowing what to expect. It's a long entrance into the restaurant. It's to stop the heat to get out and the cold to come in. When we entered we were surprised to see it was a nice family restaurant. It has a cozy atmosphere. Very Inviting. Right away we are greeted and given a nice table. Our waitress greeted us and served us coffee. There was so many staff working. Never saw that many employees in a breakfast joint before. They are a pancake house and the menu had dozens to choose from. Also had crepes and waffles.

My husband loves pancakes, but we are a meat and potatoes kind of people. So we ordered the combo breakfast. I ordered eggs overeasy with hash browns, pancakes and it came with choices of meat. Sausage links, patties Canadian bacon and turkey variety of sausages. We ordered sausage and Canadian bacon . It came with 4 linked, lots of sliced Canadian bacon😋. Toast was delicious, thick with sesame seeds. Note the sausage and Canadian bacon were super delicious. My husband has ordered ham before and always is disappointed. But not today. We will be back to try their lunch.

Flap Jacks Is One Of The Best Restaurants For Breakfast

FlapJacks is a terrific place to go for breakfast or lunch. The staff is friendly big plus. We had Lorie for our waitress she made our visit there that much better she was just great. The food is incredible and the portions are big. The pancakes are light and fluffy. The waffles are flaky on the outside nice and soft on the inside. I recommend having the fiesta omelet that's what I ordered. Added bacon and sausage to my omelet. An order of hash browns came with the omelet. I also had the strawberry waffle. My niece had pancakes, sausage links, scrambled eggs. A side of grits came with my niece order.My mother and aunt had the skirt steak skillet with eggs over easy on top. Side of hash browns came with the order and pancakes. Also with scrambled eggs and bacon fresh fruit on the side is an option. The coffee is good and hot. Please go pay Flap Jacks a visit. The staff is superb they take care of all your needs. Also make sure that you give your server a nice tip. With the pandemic happening they need that extra incentive. Where too begin. I've been going to flap Jack's for at least 10 years now. Let me start by saying my food was spot on as always and my server was pleasant and accommodating. Now for the bad : I was approached by someone who claimed to be " managment" regarding my special order. The conversation started by this woman walking up to my table as if she new me and the first words out were "here's the problem". Ok if their is an issue with my order that's fine, but to come to my table, not introduce yourself as a " manager " and start talking down to me as if I'm someone not worthy of your time is insulting at best. The conversation was extremely rude from start to finish, the tone was unacceptable and frankly someone who talks to a regular customer in such a manner has no business talking to customers at all. Next, as I go to pay my bill, i wasn't asked how my service or food was, hence me voicing my opinion on here. Last point, It's not the same restaurant it was back in the day when being greeted by Joanne or Nick when you walked in with a smiling face. And that's why Greeks should run these...
