I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for years, ever since the owners were the bartender and waitress. However, my recent visit left me deeply disappointed, and I will not be returning unless significant improvements are made to the service.

Since the business has expanded due to Covid, the introduction of new employees seems to have had a negative impact on customer service. During my most recent visit, my friend and I ordered fried rice, with an additional request for mushrooms in my portion. Unfortunately, the rice was severely overcooked, and when we raised this issue with the manager, he initially refused to replace it, claiming that all the rice was prepared the same way.

After some discussion with the owner, the manager eventually agreed to provide us with a new bowl of rice. However, the replacement rice was still subpar. I requested no mushrooms this time due to the unappetizing appearance and taste of the initial serving, which was not consistent with my previous experiences at the restaurant where I always enjoyed mushrooms in my dish.

To make matters worse, my friend found a squeezed lime in her rice, which had clearly not been properly prepared or checked before being served to her. The manager's attitude throughout the ordeal was dismissive and unprofessional, adding to our overall dissatisfaction with the dining experience.

In conclusion, while I have always held a special place in my heart for this restaurant and its owners, the decline in service quality and the lack of attention to detail on this occasion have left me with no choice but to reconsider my patronage. I sincerely hope that the owner takes steps to address these issues and restore the high standards that once made this establishment a favorite of mine. It’s sad, I’ve seen these owners (sisters) work so hard to get to this point. Management...

I had a horrible experience at this restaurant. This was during CoVid... I had heard so much about this restaurant so I choose to go with my family. They had the cutest pods in place for social distancing. The problem arose when the waiter took our drink orders . I am a true martini lady and I always never have a bad experience from such. Unfortunately, upon them being my cocktail out and after drinking tasting it I was not satisfied. The cocktail tasted as though it had been sitting in a pitcher with nothing but ice.. it was so diluted it tasted like water, and only appeared to have the green look. I informed my waiter, that something was wrong with the cocktail and asked if he could have them redo the drink. He then informed me that would not be an option. Now keep in mind I had only taken a sip very small the cocktail was still full to the rim. I requested to speak to the he manager. I was so appalled after explaining to the major about the cocktail. She told me after I pay for that cocktail then they would make me another. I could see if I was trying not to pay anything which was clearly not the case. So, after the rude interaction that we received as a family of 5 we politely got up and left this restaurant. Not to mention their was a terrible smell when we enter because they were having plumbing issues...I believe in providing the best customer experience s specially when spending my money. I was very disappointed in the way the entire situation...

OLD BROWN BASIL & LATE STAFF & LATE TO OPEN!!!!!!!! I've been on a Pho kick lately and was glad to find a place to get it on the south side...............But.........looks like I have to keep searching. Started calling at 12pm (Saturday opening time) but no one answered so after 12:04 I stopped calling and took a chance just showing up. I arrived about 12:09 and to find a line of people waiting outside. Everyone was let in about 12:10. I don't remember ever being at a restaurant that opened 10 min late!!!!!! There was still staff members showing up, and the waiter took my order because the receptionist didnt show up until about 12:20. I ordered the beef Pho. After some time I noticed people dining in received their food first (not Pho) even though I had ordered first (When I order it at other restaurants it comes right out). Pho is really just broth with a modest portion of beef pieces, bean sprouts and fresh basil. I got home to find brow basil leaves ......BROWN BASIL!!!!!! Looks like they don't serve fresh baisl only aged basil!! I can't believe they would even serve that to anyone! No thanks!!!!!

ThiThi's is a Chicago favorite, one of my favorites. Everything on this menu is delicious. That is not an exaggeration. The martini & cocktail menu is outstanding! Best cocktails in Chicago, so many to choose from. ThiThi herself is a master mixologist and trained her bartenders to render the same perfection. When martinis are brought to the table they are full to the rim & not a drop is spilled - Its entertaining to watch. I can never grab a photo of my food when it arrives because I'm so eager to dig into it. The curry basil catfish is an absolute Wonder. How does catfish remain so crispy in a liquid?! The flavors of everything at ThiThi's keep me coming back, and they remember us. The staff is great. Even though it can be busy & service a little slow sometimes, it's worth the wait. Pace your courses to eliminate wait time (I usually order another appi when i put in my entree order) & drink! ThiThi's is a Thai, Fresh & Vietnamese fare - done right! I gave it a more expensive price point because I order so much. Perfect for dates, girl time, family time, book clubs, etc. Perfect!
