Livestock Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Wright City

I had heard about their bacon-wrapped hot dogs from friends and decided to give the place a try, despite seeing some negative reviews here (let's give it a try!). Unfortunately, they were already out of them when we arrived at 7ish on a Tuesday. No biggie... we were happy to try something else as we were hangry.

We ordered two beers and our food, but after that our waitress only came by once to ask my partner if he wanted another beer, then later returned just to drop it off. No updates on the food, no check-ins. We were paitent as there was a big storm and they were having problems with electricity. After finishing our drinks and still with no food (46 minutes sitting down), we decided to leave. We left cash for the beers and walked out hungry and disappointed.

I hope they can improve staffing and communication, as they seem to have potential... even a quick update would have made a big...

Livestock Bar and Grille in Wright City is a hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and laid-back — perfect for a night out with friends or even just grabbing a drink after work. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure our experience was top-notch from start to finish.

The food? Outstanding. Everything we ordered came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Whether you’re into burgers, wings, or something a little more unique, they’ve got something for everyone. And the drinks were spot-on — strong pours, cold beer, and a great selection all around.

They often have live music or events going on, which really adds to the fun, community vibe. You can tell it’s a place where locals love to hang out — and now I know why.

I know this place is new and may have its issues but everything I have to say still stands regardless of the circumstances. Server/ Bartender had very little knowledge of the menu or beers that they have. She couldn’t even list off some of the simpler beers they had in top of that the kitchen was not capable of making small request like sautéed onions. If you have a flat top or skillet and burner you can do onions. The food wasn’t that great wither I got the fried chicken sandwich with cheddar and onion it was dry and under seasoned and the fries needs to be sent back to be fried for longer as the middle of the fry was not even hot.
