Came to visit Wilmington for a few days with my wife. We like to have warm almond milk wherever we go and found out they would provide it here. The first day we came we were warmly served by a nice young lady and we had a pleasant time there. The second day we came I was charged more for a smaller amount(I could have gotten the same thing for less at Starbucks). When I told the lady that I was charged x amount yesterday, she said that I’m going to have to pay x amount today. And then she went on to say the other nice young lady was wrong and that they don’t have almond milk as a usual product they sell(so charge me more?). She remarked that I’m probably the only person that ever gets almond milk (ok it’s not common, but alienating much?). Anyways, I paid the amount and really didn’t feel good about the interaction. I probably won’t go back here when visiting Wilmington. I gave them two stars because the first day we had a pleasant time there. It may be good for them to take some lessons about customer service (from Starbucks even.) I hope for them the best of course, just trying to be real and hopefully...

This place is amazing. It's busy (but they handle it really well) and for good reason.

The staff is amazing, and the food and coffee are excellent. The almond butter toast is one of the best things I've ever had, and I will be trying to replicate it at home the next time we have family visit.

We've had breakfast (tea, coffee, an apple fritter that was amazing and while it may bring on a heart attack any moment it was probably worth it) and lunch (caprese sandwiches with and without additions) and everything was remarkably good.

The staff shines. In spite of an extremely hectic pace they are friendly, efficient, and never lose sight of customer service. Even if they can't take the next order immediately they give a friendly/genuine "We'll be right with you" and let the guest know they're not being ignored. That's so huge, and so often ignored.

The indoor seating is extremely limited, but there's outdoor seating with umbrellas for shade.

Give this place a try--you won't be...

We had the worst customer service experience during our vacation at this shop by the woman working the register. The place was busy but not overly so -- line was about to the door, and she kept yelling at people in line for both being in the way of servers (odd shop layout for that!), and yet also for being too spaced out so line was to door; it was very confusing. Most of all, though, once we had our opportunity to get to the counter to order, she screamed at our 7 year old because he was still trying to figure out what he wanted to drink and had questions. She then yelled at me when I asked why our bill was ~$15 more than it should be and she initially refused to check it, only to realize when she did check it that she had made an error (but no apology given). Although we thought the food was incredible tasting (that rosemary garlic cream cheese is amazing!), we never returned the rest of our trip due to how we...

It's difficult where to start. There were 3 young ladies behind the counter, and their demeanor definitely had a "I have to be here" vibe. It seemed like they had extra time on their hands, and then they realized they completely forgot to make another patrons' food order. My beverage was made incorrectly, and the food was mediocre at best. We got a lox bagel (which was the better of the two, but had rather large red onion pieces on it) and a sandwich. The prosciutto on the sandwich was dried out on the edges and tasted kind of old, which wasn't a wonderful taste, and it seemed lacking at best. $40 for 2 beverages, a bagel, and a sandwich.... feels pretty wrong for the service and quality of food. It's definitely a Wrightsville Beach tourist trap. As a local, I say the place across from Oceanic above the surf shop is a way better coffee shop.

A FIVE STAR 'walk to' breakfast and lunch spot on the beautiful island of Wrightsville Beach off North Carolina's coast. The Workshop offers delicious breakfast and lunchtime meals, sandwiches, fruits, sides, coffees (expresso and cappuccino), smoothies, and more (see menu). The Workshop shares the passions of local SCUBA divers and coffee lovers by showcasing Megalodon teeth, shark teeth jewelry (see photos). My favorite breakfast: bacon, egg, cheese croissont and expresso topped with whole milk foam. Yum!
