Location Location Location!
Rooms are exactly as the pictures suggest. My wife and I visited at the beginning of tourist season. Site has a small, private, onsite parking area, so they are limited to 1 vehicle per room (no boats or trailers). Each room has it's own kitchenette, and outside deck - perfect for afternoon and evening lounging. Our room was a Queen room, but it also had 2 bunk beds and the two captain chairs in the main room were perfect! Room had a small, but full sized fridge.
Road noise was minimal, which was good. The location was EXCELLENT as it allowed great access to Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach. The left-turn into the parking lot was not an issue since the traffic over the bridge was managed by the stop light on the other side. Never had a problem getting IN or OUT.
Bobby was one of the week-day managers and he reached out several times prior to arrival to make sure that everything we needed was ready. Check-in was quick, and painless. Room check-out was simply putting my keycards in a drop-box and leaving.
Since we were early in the tourist season, the pool was not yet open and thus we couldn't test that out. But it looked like it could accommodate 5-10 people without issue. Small sun deck had 3 tables with chairs and there a few deck chairs as well.
Only downside is they do not do 1-night stays. Thus, this would not be a choice for 1-night get-a-way.

Read moreWe spent a long weekend here - with nothing to go off and completely unfamiliar with the location. What a find! It's a great hotel to base out of for Ironman weekend - walking distance to the T1/bike drop. I guess you "could" walk to the starting line too - but there's a shuttle from T1. ||The hotel had everything we needed - fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, clean shower/bathroom. ||I also truly appreciated the communication from the hotel in advance of our arrival - they made sure to reach out to verify our arrival time, and answer any questions. (1 car per party btw).||Depending on where your room is - the road noise may be a bit much while on the balcony. We were in room 201 - so right next to Causeway! It did not bother us while in the room. ||You can walk to local dining options easily - breakfast, lunch and dinner options for all budgets and tastes. ||I would definitely stay here again. We had all we needed, and felt safe and comfortable. If you're going for the race - you can drive from the hotel to T2/Finish line area easily even with road closures. Just an aside for...
Read moreI hardly ever leave reviews but (and am still at hotel)…..we arrived tired and hungry, moved in, went to shut door to go eat, door wouldn’t lock, had to move to another room down a floor. Inconvenient. Since then the bathroom towel bar has broken, there is a stain on the white comforter, the back of the toilet bowl is filthy, food is splattered on the canvas above the table….and honestly I probably would have never written a review but at 8:54 am this morning, the loudest construction that we were told nothing about has started directly below us. We had our balcony door cracked to let in the breeze, my husband was sitting on balcony enjoying the view and now this is not possible. If we were staying more than one night we would need to be moving to another hotel. It is.so.loud. Great location. Guy at front desk is nice and responsive… I know this place gets good reviews which is why I chose it, but our experience has not been a good one. Husband (who never complains or really notices cleanliness) just said “a white eraser would do wonders on...
