Had to give 1 star** only posting in hopes that the owner sees this and the other bad reviews and sees how poorly their store is being managed. I'm from Wilmington and came down for the day to enjoy the beach.. i forgot my beach chairs so i went inside the store and bought 2 beach chairs to enjoy the day at the beach. When we got to the beach parking lot, I tried the chair and it was defective. I tried to return the chair immediately (receipt showed time of purchase), or upgrade as the quality was very cheap for $40. I was unaware of their NO RETURN POLICY". When I tried to have a conversation with the manager she refused to reason with me. She kept saying no returns, even when I asked about defective merchandise, she said no exceptions, as she'd have to make an exception for the other 200 people that bought merchandise that day. . Do you not know the meaning of an exception? When I told her the chair collapsed, she asked me if I checked the weight limit. WHAT? DID SHE REALLY JUST SAY THAT? Then she called me a "karen" (how original). As a consumer I have the right to complain if I've spent money on a defective product. I should also be able to discuss my concerns with a manger without her calling me names. When I told her this she told me to F off. Wow. I was flabbergasted. The unprofessionalism of this manager was mind blowing.. I grew up in an era where customer service mattered. It's really not about the return at this point..it's about the principle. Read moreWell, there I was. 20th of March. Sunny day, had coffee with cream, and a burger with cheese. This is a bad idea for someone who is lactose intolerant. I’ve been simply trying to tolerate it lately. Unfortunately, today was not the day. I was quickly met with a fowl stomach cramp, signaling my impending poopy. I rushed to the nearest establishment, no bathroom. I rushed to the next, no bathroom. Back and forth, no bathrooms. Even the public restroom was locked along with a nearby porta pottie. I was doomed, but surely wings, the last stop on my plan of action, surely they would allow me to use the bathroom. I opened the door, ran to the staff. The staff greeted me with a condescending tone. Such lack of regard. I was told “go across the street.” And i told them I’ve gone everywhere, including across the street. Read moreOn July 6th my mom and I purchased several items including 2 hats. The rack the hats were on, had a sign above it stating buy 2 for $12.00. After making the purchase before leaving the counter, I looked at the receipt and it stated that I paid $40.00 for the 2 hats. I pointed out to the cashier that I wasn't charged the right price. She stated that the hats weren't on sale for buy 2 for $12.00. My mom and I informed her that we found the hats on the rack that had a sign buy 2 for $12.00. The cashier stated no refunds. I said we haven't even left the store and she refused to help us. So my mom asked to speak to the manger. The manger stated that they do not do refunds. My mom then took the manager to show her where we found the hats. The manager pointed out to my mom in tiny writing on the sign hats not included. My mom stated to me that half the sign was covered so the writing isn't noticeable. This store obviously has poor customer service. We understand the no refund policy but in this instance an exception should have been made given the fact of false advertisement and we didn't even leave the checkout counter. We will be...
