I have been a customer of JJ’s Pizza for the last 20+ years and I will never step foot back in there again. I used to absolutely love their pizza. I would order the same pizza once a week for probably the last 20 years. However, since the owner passed away and it has moved on to whoever is running it now, I have tried giving them several chances and every single time I walk away thoroughly disappointed and disgusted. On my latest visit I paid almost $22 for a two topping large square pizza. This was a shocking price hike from the recent past. For $22 I received a pizza that was extremely under proofed (proofing allows the dough to rise properly) and very undercooked. As you can see in the pictures, it is bright white. It’s also evident they took dough meant for a round pizza and tried to make it into a square. The process of making those two pizzas is very different and a large square pizza requires significantly more dough than a large round pizza. I worked at a very good pizzeria for several years when I was younger, so I know the process for making round vs square “pan” pizza very well. Another common problem JJ’s seems to have is they can’t figure out how to cut the pizza properly into 12 even slices, like they used to be able to do for years. Some pieces are 4 inches wide and others are 1 inch wide. (See pics) The overall quality of the pizza is so low and unbelievably below any standard that should go out of any pizzeria. I picked the pizza up at about 8:30 PM on a Thursday, got home, opened it up, saw the absolute disaster they gave me, so I turned around and came right back to ask them for a refund. Unfortunately, within 5 minutes of picking up the pizza they were already closed up and no one was there. This was literally 5-10 minutes after I picked up the pizza. If you’re planning on closing early and you don’t have the right ingredients to make your food then just tell your customer you’re sorry, but they will have to come back another day. DON’T serve them a disgusting excuse you’re trying to pass off as a pizza. That’s how you end up with dozens of terrible reviews, as you can see from the many 1 star reviews here on Google! It absolutely breaks my heart to see this once great restaurant fall so low, so fast. I will not go back to JJ’s and I will tell everyone I know to avoid ordering from JJ’s in the future. JJ’s has fed many people at my familie’s gatherings for the past 20 years and everyone always raved about how good the food was. I have many fond memories sitting around, sharing their wonderful food with my family in the past, but that WILL NOT happen anymore. I’m sorry to see such a wonderful Wyandotte icon go down hill. The current owners should not be allowed to even use the JJ’s name because they don’t even remotely represent the quality that used to be JJ’s. P.s. I would really like to see what the current owner has to say about this review and many of the other extremely low reviews from the past year or so.

Walked in to pick up and young kid on his phone, didn’t even acknowledge until he was done. Stood around waiting, only to be given a raw pizza, and spoiled fermented sauce. Could get someone incredibly sick if they had ate that. Threw the entire order in the trash. Would love my money back but nobody will even answer a phone there. Had placed the order online. I spent over 10 years waiting on Joe at Franks pizza, I was his requested waitress. Kindest man and took such pride in his business. He’d be heartbroken to see this. Also considering my background I know spoiled sauce and raw food. This is unacceptable and dangerous. We’ve tried and last three times it’s been worse and worse until this and then nobody will even answer a phone to try to fix it. Waste of hardworking money and time. Don’t go here please.

When it comes to pepperoni and cheese, J'Js doesn't miss. This Neopolitan Pizza was just horrible. Small Neopolitan vs. what you gave doesn't even compare. The only thing that saved this "pie" was the chicken strips, cheese bread, and shrooms I bought with it. No, I don't need a refund or a handout.. just better service.

JJ's Pizza ....well I called at 9pm with an order and was told it would be 45 mins. 45 mins went by and I called to see where my order was the girl on the phone said they were busy and the order left. 1 hour went by I called again and girl said it would be only a few mins I said ok. 1 hour and 15 mins I got in my truck and went to the store said I was there to pick up the order for my address ( which I was told on the phone on the hour mark it was a few mins away. ) she said it would be a few mins ( yes I was frustrated ) she gave me my food and I seen the ticket on the bos and receipts already made our with the delivery charge and the 2 dollar tip when I called it in ( now i am really ticked off ) I said you mean to tell me that it never left the store. She told me how busy they were and i said that's fine but the guy on the phone told me 45 mins and another girl on the phone told me he'd be there in a few mins. How can that be when it never left the store??? ( NOTE : if you lie to people on the phone can you not understand they would naturally be mad ? ) Then as I left the store I hear them laughing about it from their side screen door.) If I had not went to the store the wait time would have been 1 hour and 30 mins ( because my order when I got there was not finished being made ) I've been a long time customer and this service was...

I have always been bothered by the extra charge for using your debt card but tonight will end me ever going back. After being charged almost 33 dollars for my pizza and wings which if that is the price then fine . But I noticed while paying a 5 item pizza and a Pepsi for 13.99. I noticed I was charged 20 dollars for mine with no pop and asked about the price . I was asked did you ask for the special price . Which I did not so there response was yeah that is how they get you .hmmmm weird because I didn't realize we were in some form of competition to beat each other out of a dollar. You make a good pizza , customers come in and buy your good pizza and when your really good you sell lots of pizzas .you have 1 store not 100. No commercials , no radio time , no flyers but I have to request a price I was not informed of. I thought if you advertise a price you should honor that They said nope . Ok. Keep the 5 dollars and I guess you beat me in your short view on business skills because you now have lost 100s we spend at your 1 store. . To many options for pizzas to pull such bad short gain business practices . Good luck though. In my opinion You will need to sharpen your customer appreciation tactics in...
