I've been trying pollo tacos all over town and this is by far the best one yet. I love that the chicken was shredded and had very good flavor.

The tortillas are handmade and excellent - they hold up very well so you only need one per taco! I believe they used these for the chips as well, which were very good.

The Salsa/sauce were very good - both seem tomatillo based. The red had good flavor and was mild. The Green was amazing - very creamy with fresh jalapeno and avocado flavor.

I also had an Asada taco - flavor was very good however the meat I had was rather chewy.

The other guest I was with had the Birria Tacos and consommƩ - the meat was extremely tender and was seasoned and the consommƩ was very flavorful. Definitely beef - I noted on the menu they do have a goat soup so I wonder if you could get that on the tacos as well.

Great atmosphere, very clean, and friendly staff. I most definitely...

There is nothing authentic about this restaurant! We asked if the beans were made with lard, they said ā€œnoā€. After we paid and waited for our order, the cashier came out to tell us ā€œ well the beans are made with a little cheese in themā€ and this is after we also asked for no dairy on any of our items. We asked for veggie tacos, they brought out taco on these cardboard shell with just bean! We had to send them back for cilantro and onions. The burrito was gross. I would not recommend this place to anyone. We only went because we were driving by to go get fish and chicken from somewhere else and notice they were open on a Sunday. Save your money and...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Caldos El Giro, and it was an incredible experience! I had a wet burrito that was as big as your head, and it was absolutely delicious. My family enjoyed their tacos, and we all loved the verde and homemade sauces—simply amazing.

This place is truly authentic! We also saw other patrons enjoying giant bowls of soup and ceviche that looked way better than one could imagine. If you love Mexican food, this place is the real deal.

Caldos El Giro is definitely one of the best hidden gems in Grand Rapids....

I’ve been wanting to drop by for a while, and I’m happy I finally had the chance. I tried the pozole Rojo and I accidentally ordered chips with it instead of corn tortillas. Still, the service was friendly and the soup was very rich. There was a lot of meat and hominy in there, and the optional garnishes of radish, cabbage, lime and chili oil all made it that much more delicious. I’ll definitely have to try them again.

Nice place with friendly staff. Food was good, tried 1 soup and some Quesabirrias, and both were good. Bathrooms were clean. Chips were very thick, seems to be made from actual cooked tortillas on premise. The salsa was ok, very fresh, the sauces give were a nice mild hot sauce and a green avocado style that also had a good flavor. Order and pay first, they directed to a seat and then they brought out the drinks and food.
