I’ve been here a few times but yesterday my experience was different. I felt I was being racially profiled by my own people. I am half black/mexican. Came in to pick up my online order (per usual) and the 2 girls there told me they didn’t get a order (there’s 1 order packaged and ready to go) so I show them my phone where it shows my pickup name, food orders details, the $36 I spent and the pick up time. The girl tells me she doesn’t have the order and that i need to order off another site. I’m confused because I paid for this meal and I’m here to pick it up. We are going back and forth for awhile until she decides to bring the one packaged order to the desk and withhold it from me. I ask her can I look at the receipt and when i do, I let her know that this is my exact order and now she’s like oooooh it must be yours.. even though the whole time they told me they never got an order. It was frustrating going back and fourth with people that are supposed to be providing me with good customer service and they made me feel like I was there to steal somebody’s food. After they apologized the girls started to talk about what just happened in Spanish right in front of me. I am half Mexican so i knew and told them that they didn’t have to keep talking about it in front of my face cuz I know what they’re saying. And I walked out. I just feel really uncomfortable about this place after...
Read moreI have only used their drive thru so I can't speak for the atmosphere. That being said, overall I'd recommend this restaurant. Their food is very good with a couple of minor issues. The food leans more towards spicy hot than I prefer but the flavors are great. I had one dish, I wish I could remember the name, that had their chorizo in it and it was so spicy that I couldn't finish it. Their fajitas had a great flavor, the only negative was that they put the shredded lettuce in the container with the hot fajita meat so by the time I opened the container at home the lettuce had become hot and wilted. Their drive thru is a little slow but they make each dish to order so it's to be expected. They do offer a number of different meats for each dish, if you like spicy I'd recommend their chorizo. Ther steak, pork and chicken have a very good flavor. The flour tortillas seemed home made and were better than store bought. The tacos were very good with the thin sliced steak they used, they did ask if I wanted them "american style" which TBH I'm not sure what that ment but I liked them none the less. Overall I enjoyed their food and would recommend that you give them a try, I'll be going back to try more dishes. This restaurant is locally owned so stop by and show...
Read moreDisappointing experience ordering a torta on 06.20 during, what I think?, was a soft open. Sandwich was not very good and, overall, a dry experience (way too much bread for a torta). Would not recommend until they figure out the consistency in their menu. I hope they do well, but they’re the 3rd taco place on the block.
I tried it again on 07.22, since they’re very close to my work and their customers decided to send messages to my work email complaining about my review or threatening me if I didn’t take it down.
3 asada tacos and a drink were around $15 which is pretty expensive when compared to other places in the area… I would agree with the reviews that say the meat is under seasoned and that the tortillas are good, but it is hard to give a positive review for a tortilla.
I’m pretty disappointed with how they have handled interactions with their community, how they have encouraged their customers to behave, and the quality of their food.
The art in and around their building is great, but the food doesn’t...
