1 star until they fix the glaring problems with the women's bathroom. 2 stalls with 2 toilets. One of the toilets are so poorly secured to the floor, I'm surprised a drunk patron hasn't accidentally tipped over on it. Absolutely no ventilation or AC in the women's bathroom. Spoke with someone who actually works there and they told me it's been that way "since the remodel" which was not so recently as to warrant any benefit of the doubt. The hooks on the stall doors are so low they look like they're for children, and any purse or bag would certainly hang so low it would touch the disgusting bathroom floor (as did mine and so i had to rest it on top of the TP holder). Btw, the TP is pretty cheap/thin too. The soap dispenser had no lid and isn't properly secured to the wall so when you go to press the pump for soap ( you have to press upwards/lift) it pops off the wall, of it's track, getting soap all over you, your outfit, and the rest of the bathroom. Another patron was in the bathroom and witnessed that last one, which obviously didn't go over well with either of us, as they got caugh in the splash zone. It's absolutely deplorable The rest of the bar (including the men's restroom, interestingly enough) are all well ventilated with proper AC and without toilets that are basically a ticking maintenance time bomb. The women's bathroom is a literal sauna deathtrap.
Everything else is great, apart from the usual drunks that hog the pool tables.
The drinks are affordable, the service is mostly really good (haven't tried the food yet but it's typical greasy bar food nothing special), and theres pool, gambling, darts, and a cigarette machine, plus smoking inside is allowed. All plusses for a good dive in my opinion, aside from the very unfortunate drawbacks listed initially.
Would recommend, but only if you've got an iron bladder or comfortable with using the other bathroom. Otherwise, find another place, there's plenty of...
Read moreI have been going to Kate's place for about a year now every Wednesday night after bowling and on Sundays as well. The atmosphere is great, love the fact they have two pool tables. I am a finance manager along with owning my own business I am we'll aware of my financial situation and money I carry with me. I put a 50 bill on the bar and ordered a Miller lite and 1/2 pound of wing bites the change that Lauren gave me was change for a 20 as if I put 20 on the bar and not a 50. When I questioned Lauren the bartender she said nope there was only one person in the bar that gave me a 50 and it wasn't you. I was asked to leave the bar without getting my food or the return of the lost money. After speaking to a few people they said this is common for Lauren to rip people off when she feels someone is not paying attention. I have reached out to the owners but since they are going through some kind of nasty divorce they apparently don't care about their customers. I would not recommend going to this place and if you choose too be aware of your money and...
Read moreHaven’t encountered a staff more rude than the staff here. Off the bat realized she doesn’t leave the bar so when we sat at a table we moved over to the bar to get service (all fine were never there so we didn’t know) the bartender was probably thirty something and you could tell she wasn’t happy to be there and us coming to the establishment to order food and drinks was an inconvenience AT HER JOB. Again first time there and didn’t realize it was cash only bc there is no signage or anything on google or facebook and her tone was just mind blowing. I waitress and it is not too hard to treat customers with respect or kindness. It is unfortunate because the food was very good and we had it at the wing fest last summer and were so excited to make the 30 minute drive but we definitely won’t go back or recommend it again after the service we...
