Tacos El Cunado 44th ST — Restaurant in Wyoming

I will keep my original review below. But I have to add that this place has really gone downhill in the months since opening.

Portions have gotten much smaller, and they charge more than menu prices. The service was awful. We walked in and were told to sit down and wait for service. 20 minutes later a waitress came to take our orders. She never checked in on us again. (There were only 2 tables with people sitting down)

We then waited over a half hour for our food to come out. The staff kept apologizing over and over again. They even told me they were very sorry when I came to pay the bill. Which I appreciated.

It wasn’t even busy, there was only one other table with people dining in. Everyone waiting in line for pickup orders were visibly upset, and complaining, and the staff just kept saying they were sorry over and over.

Food is good, but very small portions at a high price. You should not come here and sit down to eat. Unless you want to wait an hour for food. If they say the pickup time is 15 minutes, it’s actually 45.

I love the Tacos El Cuñado franchise, but this is by far the worst location I have been to. Management needs to step up and get them in line.

Never had a single issue with Cuñado on Bridge street, Burton, or the Downtown market. This place is making you guys look bad.

We have given this location MULTIPLE opportunities, today was the last chance. My wife decided to stop in the store and order since we know take out orders are busy on Friday nights. She ordered $50 worth of food, which is NOT much, and was told it would be a 10 min wait. An hour and 10 minutes later she was on her way home, and her and my daughter were the only ones in the store. At this point my other kiddo food was ruined, we had to spend another $30 to replace their food. The drinks were flat and melted, and they were starving. My wife watched multiple people come and go, and some even come in, order, and leave in minutes. She said something multiple times and was never updated, just told they were busy. At the end she was offered a piece of carrot cake. She is not confrontational. Once she finally got home with the food it was minimal, dry and NOT worth the money we paid. We still ended up ordering from another restaurant and throwing their food away. If this was a first time issue, or they at least were up front and apologetic I would not be writing this, however, there has been an issue 3 times now. Again, trying to give this location the benefit of the doubt because we have enjoyed other locations. We wanted to try this place out but will be the last time i go there was not happy at all with anything! The waitress gave us a menu she Accidentally hit the corner of the menu in my 3 year olds eye then she toke our drink order and we also ordered our food. They came with one plate witch was my 10 year olds plate and that was it 7 mins later hes done with his food they bring the rest. The waitress drops charro beans that she had in her hand by my daughter again all over the table . And we ate our food finally. We started to pack up pay and my husband says he paid 78.00 i was like wow looked at the Receipt and said this is not right we got over charged. So went back in she saids its right i was like no its not for example we got taco trio and its 10.99 on the menu and she saids to me that they changed prices in there system but not the menus yet that is false priceing so basically they are chargeing u more after ur done eating u will get the bill and it will be more we got charged almost 10.00 more and my husband gave her a big tip . 78.00 is not worth eating simple tacos !
