Once inside, the smell of fresh food, and pastries filled the air. Art work framed the walls like a canvas in the Louvre Museum in Paris France. Simplicity, and an attention to creating a small house vibe, I felt like I was welcomed into their home. Quickly after looking around, and taking in the great smells radiating from the kitchen as the chef designs his next signature dish, you begin to view the menu that is displayed and designed in a French motif. Gazing at the simple but well informed menu, you begin to realize that this is not just a sandwich/croissant shop, but it's actually a French cuisine inspired eatery. Not just an eatery, but what a I call a Refreatery(a polished tasteful shop, focussed on giving you a 5-star experience, with 5-star tasting food, wrapped up professional simplicity). Once you sit down, you're greeted with a smile, and a quick glass of water or drink you request. Served with a 5-star smile, and focus on actually paying attention to your questions ( which is a rarity now days in restaurants), you begin to realize that this small little eatery is more than just a place to eat, but a place you want to come back, and taste the food your mind is wondering what it will taste like!. . As soon as I was served by beverages, I tasted a drink I had never tried before. It was like a club soda/mineral water/natural flavored fizzy lemonade that made my taste buds dance as if it was in a Broadway musical. The authentic taste of something fresh, delightful, and amazing got m attention. This simple drink, will set the bar for years to come, and will use it to rate other drinks from here on out. If they don't taste this great, then they will have failed to captivate my intrigue on what I call a great drink( I drank 4 of them!....... Ya, that good!. .) After asking the million questions I did, the hostess was not ignored at all, and skillfully attended others walking in, and at the same time made me fill like I was the only one there. I ordered this sandwich which she recommended, and I ordered this soup of the day the chef made. Its smelled good, as its aroma filled the air, so I gave it a try( I was not disappointed). I also ordered a Charcuterie Board filled with an abundance of of local fresh fruit, and imorted French cheese, and they WERE VERY GOOD!. . The blend of high end cheese, fresh fruit, jams, assortment of bread, nuts, and crackers was more than I expected for the price. It was simple, but displayed in an appetizing way, that made you feel like you were at home on a Saturday afternoon with family and friends enjoying a great meal. Quickly we moved into the sandwich I wouldn't call a sandwich but I prefer to call it a Kings Burger. Simple to make, but elegant enough to serve a King as a fine exquisite dinner meal. The flavors of the ingredients made it fitting and a great pairing with the soup that was served.
THE SOUP!. .
was masterfully created, that it tasted mythical and fanciful, almost unreal in taste. The bouquet of spices, herbs, created a fragrance of unimaginable taste piquancy. Without hesitation, I began to dive into the food, as the delightful zing of the flavor of the food draws you into a hypnotic zing of tasteful ballet flavors dancing on your tongue. The combination and medley of so many flavors your magically introduced to is amazing, and leaves you in awe, as your visit will deliver you a memory of culinary delectation. Watching the chef at work, was not so exciting. No fires in pans siring, or multiple chefs taking orders at a rapid fire pace, but a simple assistant, and the chef skillfully and artfully creating his masterpieces. Once served, your observation of the chef at work was recalibrated and defined as seriousness, and culinary craftsmanship. FOCUS, was his facial expression's, calmness with a pinch of excitement as his eyes gazed the plated masterpieces, being designed to be served. Once done, he passes the plate to the server, and it was then presented, and it did not fail to meet artful cuisine, and...
Read moreWe went in around noon Sunday in a group of 11. Unfortunately there wasn’t enough space for us inside so we sat outside, which is fine. They cleaned up some table and got us some chairs. The food was amazing! It did take a bit for us all to get our food and it was a little chilly outside which didn’t help much, but the soup stayed very warm! Amazing! Overall we had an enjoyable experience. The only suggestions I’d say is the kids in our group got their food last, water refills were a little slow and the portions were much larger than what we expected! This is a good thing but the pictures we found online didn’t do it justice! We definitely will be back in a smaller group so we can sit together inside. What...
Read moreSunday morning I was gonna get groceries but I was feeling hungry and spotted this place. Literally never noticed it and got curious.
Oh my god. This place is so good! I got an iced coffee with the small metro sandwich and some tomato bisque soup.
The sandwich was bursting with fresh flavors that complemented each other perfectly and the baguette was delightfully warm, soft, and had a satisfying crisp outside.
Loved the tomato bisque! It tasted like comfort which was perfect on a chilly Sunday.
The caramel iced coffee was smooth, and not overly sweet.
Staff were very polite and friendly ☺️
The restaurant was welcoming, bright, and clean.
I will be coming here again!! I need to try the...
