Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Yakima

Usually I am a fan of ordering my pizza and wings from this location. They always bring it within the 30-45 minute wait, friendly delivery drivers and hot great food.unfortunately tonight my experience was flipped upside down. I had called around 8:15pm to place an order for my family and I. We weren't too much in a hurry to have it delivered since the kids had their dinner already and I still had things to do so time slipped my mind, my boyfriend then questioned where his dinner was at. When I called to ask about my order thinking they were behind on orders I had told them that I was questioning about my order, the girl who answered then said she would put me on hold while she got the manager (richard). Richard then got on the phone and not so politely told me that they had tried to deliver to me 2 and call but all my information was wrong. I told him that I had to repeat my information to the girl exactly how I had to repeat it to him when asked so I assumed that it was correct after the second time. He then said that he would have my delivery resent to me and when I asked if it would be for free since they had made the mistake of entering my information wrong, he answered with, "uh-huh" which I found very rude. 5 minutes later I had recieved my pizza delivery but was disappointed to find they had delivered the pizza that was originally ordered at 8pm. I got a cold pizza and cold wings. If that is what I wanted, I would have just gone to the store for that. I will now be doing carry out and from a different location. Staying from out of town with my Dad. He was in rehab after a surgery did not go as planned. He had been in for a few weeks between rehab and the hospital and needed non-institutional food in a bad way!

We ordered Pizza Hut from this Yakima location. A young lady helped with the order and suggested a 3-topping special. I ordered and hung up. Then my dad asked if it was the thin crust that I had ordered. I didn’t remember so called back. I hung up while on hold and told my dad he’d have to eat whatever came.

Soon after, a call came from a Pizza Hut rep. (This is a good effort on the corporate side, golf clap). She patched me back to the store I had placed the order at. Back on hold. I stayed and a different(?) young lady answered and listened to my request to make sure we had ordered thin crust. She said the order had already been made, but put me on hold to verify. It had, but she offered to make it again on thin crust. Very cool, customer focus all the way! She should get a raise!

Delivery came, I tipped, dude left. Opened the box and it was not thin crust. Oh well, nice try...

Sat down and started to eat, when there was another knock at the door. This time it was Richard (Rich?), WITH THE THIN CRUST PIZZA! WEARING AN APRON!! CUZ HE WAS COOKING!!! AND HE STOPPED WHAT HE WAS DOING AND RAN THE CORRECT PIZZA OVER TO US!!!!!

Richard deserves an early retirement he made Pizza Hut look so good!!!!!!!!!!!!

These folks didn’t know that this was my dad's first meal after hospital food and it was still important to get the order right.

Honestly, this was my favorite pizza place growing up. When I went in this last time i was very disappointed with the taste of the pizza. I thought this would make a great place for a quick easy birthday dinner. When we got to the restaurant I was told they only had one special but after looking thru the online website I found another one. So we got that one instead. I tried to order 2 liters for the table but they said that it wasn't allowed. So I asked for some pitchers of pop but was told that they no longer sold them. So we ordered drinks but they took a very long time to get all of our drinks out. The birthday girl didn't get her drink until very late after having to remind them about it. The lady was nice enough to find me a deal for the single drinks that I did order that night. Everyone working was nice to us but overall I felt like the whole evening could have went better.
