Clancy's — Restaurant in Yazoo City

My mother and I are here visiting family from out of town. We had been on the road all day and when we arrived in town, we asked for recommendations and this was a restaurant that EVERYONE recommended.We called to place a Togo order around 8:40 pm on a Friday evening. We were told that we could pull up to the drive thru when we arrived and that it would be ready in 25 minutes. We got there a bit early because we weren’t far away. We proceeded to pull up to the back of the building and saw the drivethru window, but it was blocked by a silver ford truck. We went around to the front and I went in to grab the food. I stood at the counter for about 3 minutes in total silence. Here were 2 customers sitting at a table with their food boxed up and they were talking to an older gentleman. There were no other customers in the restaurant. There was a woman doing sidework on the other side of a partition that I could see through. She didn’t acknowledge me. I sat down and the older gentleman immediately walked over to me and asked if I was waiting on an order. I told him yes and explained the situation about the drive thru window. He spoke to the woman behind the partition and she informed him that another woman was on her way to the front. She overheard us talking about the window and truck and immediately snapped back saying that no one had pulled up back there. I explained what type of truck it was. I had no reason to lie. I wasn’t complaining at all. She never looked at me, only asked if I wanted a receipt and slammed it down on the counter. I signed my copy and put it on the counter as she walked away. Never handing me our food or telling me that it was sitting at the end of the counter. I walked away and told them that their customer service was lacking. The gentleman, who I’m pretty sure is the owner was very aggressive towards me once I said that. Ge asked me to repeat myself and as yelling at me. I took the food and walked to my car. Got home and the food was cold and soggy. I have been on the service industry for 25 years and could never imagine treating anyone that way. Even if I was having a bad day. I love Clancy's... whenever I'm in Yazoo, that's where I eat ! I have been sick the last few days and after thinking about what I ate different than my family, I remembered the ketchup... couldn't eat it, scraped it off my fries, it had soured ! I worked in restaurant business all my life, this is a common problem when cleaning the bottles. Use vinegar to clean them and you will never have this problem again ! One microscopic drop of water, no matter how much you dry them, can ruin a whole bottle ! I was sick the same as you get from eating anything soured ! I did turn the bottle in and explained to waitress it was spoiled and why. Just letting you know ! I will return however, the food...

I would not know about the food because no one would take my order. I’m I came in and sat down. I actually spoke to a waitress. I another group came in after me. They were immediately helped. I sat patiently as the first waitress walked past me and back through with no acknowledgement. The waitress for the other table brought the group their drinks and left. Again no acknowledgement. I got up and told another table I guess they do not want my business...
