Sat in drive thru for about 15 to 20 minutes. But I really wanted a burger for dinner. It was about 5:20 on November 9, 2021, when we first entered the car line for drive thru. I was the only one eating as my husband cannot consume solid foods, due to his health issues. So after his cardiologist and oncologist appointments, I asked if he felt well enough to sit in the long line. He motioned for me to wait, if I wanted to. As stated previously I really wanted a burger. My previous experiences with this fast food restaurant at this location, York, SC, has been good in the past. So waited the long wait. I ordered the meal #7, made it a double, was charged $10.02. Can't drink sodas or tea, so got a cup of ice instead for my water that had warmed while in doctor appointments. When I got home, which is only 15 minutes from Wendy's in York, SC. I unwrapped my burger with great anticipation. What I saw was very dark, dried out double patties, almost burned bacon. Was very inedible. The employees had to know what they were putting together was beyond edible. Meat was old. Had sat too long before putting it together in a sandwich. After waiting 20 minutes for service, a person would assume the burger meat would be fresh. It reminded me of burger patties cooked, then stored for leftovers. If I pay $10.02 for a fast food burger, assume it would be fresh. I have taken a picture of the burger meat for future reference. And everyone is probably aware of what assume means. Buyer beware. I guess. Most awful!! I also think a lot of people that were in the long line, if they ordered burgers they were extremely disappointed in their orders as well. Totally will not do...
Read moreOmg if the food wasn't thee absolute worst I've ever had $31.00 we threw the entire order away bc the best your going to get from previous experience, bc any fastfood today even my favorite sit down restaurant shut are either a hit or miss & if I owned any fast-food chain I'd be there day in & day out u can't trust someone else to put 100% into something lining your pockets ppl see your making any profit today it's like woah hold up well I'm in business to make a profit I own a local swimming pool co but I'm the best hands down I'm not a fly by night work out of my truck company pay taxes alot of them and I get a little profit and maintaining swimming pools and when u chose to spend ur hard earned $ at a fast food place like Wendy's especially with what they spend in advertising spend that on your employees give them a reason to smile yes sometimes more than others are a slap in the face but u treat ur employees good there less likely to screw u , and I'm tired if the hit & miss no wonder new restaurants are popping up they'll hopefully surpass Wendy's and bk and McDonald's !!!!! The nastiness in the cashiers & the ppl handing out the food are no different, someone within these cos need to monitor these places bc I'm bout to stop spending my $ w/any of them , there just making me put together my own home cooked food and ik how and with what and in where my food came from...
Read moreMy mom and I visited this Wendy's at around 5pm on a Thursday. The cashier was rude. She did not greet us, and did not act interested in us as customers at all. Both napkin holders were empty, so I as well as two other customers asked for napkins. At our requests the employees started talking amongst themselves and did not get napkins for us. Finally, I asked the manager who was walking by "May we please just get some napkins?" Instead of apologizing, he said "That's what we're talking about ma'am" in a nasty tone, and handed me one paper towel. Next, when my mom opened her burger, which was supposed to be plain, she found it had everything on it, and when she took it to the front to have it replaced she was ignored for several minutes. When she was finally acknowledged, she did not receive an apology. While she was waiting for her corrected burger, she observed a young employee being berated by the manager in front of customers. Finally, a fellow customer told us that instead of the cashier asking for his name the put his order under, she wrote a cuss word at the top of his receipt.
