Been there several times. However, I will never go back! I ordered a kids meal. He asked me what I want for the kids meal drink. I said horchata. Later, after looking at the receipt, I noticed, I was up charged for the kids meal drink. 1 dollar more for a small kids cup. The kids meals are not cheap. And adding another dollar without telling me is dishonest . Most kids meals come with juice, milk or soda. I would have changed my order, if I knew, so I could have bought a large drink for the same price. Rip off!!! **REVISED I gave them another chance as the food tastes great and you get free chips and salsa. Plus, I like to support my local community. I am happy to announce that they NOW do not upcharge and INCLUDE a juice choice with the kids meal. Now, I have been there several times and I will once again recommend this place. **REVISED again I had it. Damn place now wants to charge for hot sauce. 75 cents each. Your only allowed 2. I need 4 to enjoy the burrito. Too bad. I am not giving them any...
Read morePlease read, I'm not one to complain or give a bad review, I'm quite the opposite, I only review when I really like something, Not today! We just had an awful experience, my wife is 7 months pregnant and we were left standing in the middle of the restaurant for over 30 min after ordering a cup of rice and a cup of lengua to go. Not to mention it was hot and uncomfortable inside, especially for her. Everyone that was behind us in line had been served and nearly finished. We even mention 20 minutes in we still had not been served. After it was obvious we were having an issue we decided to calmy and respectfully ask for anrefund. So upon asking for our money back 35 minutes in, the gal at the register ran back, I presume to speak with the owner and to no avail. We were not acknowledged, completely snubbed by the owner at this point, it was almost as if he had no problem giving two blonde folk a bad experience on purpose. I'm sorry to have had to say that, I do not have any other explanation for the way my wife and I were treated today....
Read moreHave been eating this food for years since before this place was a restruant at the liquor store on california street. Tacos are good but very small for the price, literally two bites and they use those small cheap white corn tortillas that you can buy 100 for a dollar. I once asked what kind of oil they use and the server said he did not know. Definitely need to have the option of handmade tortillas and food cooked without oil. Chili Verde breakfast burrito is good very filling my wife and I usually share. They have really good fresh fruit drinks. Chips and salsa are good. Enchiladas are fresh and they use a homemade sauce. The pozole is decent but expensive. One of the best authentic Mexican food restaurants around town. Prices were okay but they raised them again hence the 3 star rating. If your going to charge more, give more. Use larger tortillas or make them homemade and at least offer the...
