Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Yucaipa

I came in on 5/3/24 at 8:30pm there was a blonde & brunette working. I needed 4 sandwiches but the brunette stated she only had enough for 2 sandwiches. So I thought ok no worries they must have been busy. So as the brunette’s done with making our sandwiches she begins to ring us up. Then the blonde looks at the brunette & says,” ok I’m gonna start making my sandwich. Then the brunette say,” yeah ok that’s fine”. Ok at this point I’m so confused cause I asked twice if there was bread both times it was told no where out, but yet you have some for you guys & I seen there where 2 breads on the counter. I get it they work & need to eat but your paying customers come first. Customers are the ones who keep us in the food industry employed & our doors open. I also work in the food industry if it was our last piece & I hadn’t ate yet I would have given it to the customer because they keep me employed. So I didn’t say anything i didn’t want to come off rude or as a Karen. And as we’re leaving another person walks in and says, “are you closed?” They say no, I think wait there’s not bread how are you not closed. The blonde pulls out the other bread that was on the counter and say this is my only one. At this point I’m mind is blown I asked 2 times if there was ANY bread the brunette said no all off a sudden there’s bread. At this point I’m over it very very poor service and will never be back EVER, there is many food options in our town and a lot of competition if you don’t care to take care of your customers your business will suffer. Maybe have a training moment with your staff...

I'm giving 2 stars because i came in the other night and they were out of bread. When i came in the guy offered to make any sandwich into a wrap or salad and gave me 3 cards and told me they were for a free drink and chips and wrote "1$ off" also, which was very nice. So today i went in to use them and the girl rung us up for 2 combos and only gave us the 1$ off. While we were eating we were wondering why our bill was so high and checked the receipt and discovered she didn't give us the chips and drinks for free. We went up to tell them and they argued with us and said no it was only for the 1$ off and that it was only on those chip and drink cards cuz they ran out of the others. Incorrect. The man told me verbally it was for free chips and drinks plus the 1$off. They argued but ended up refunding anyways. I don't appreciate the hassle and the arguing. First it was the not having any bread ok whatever i appreciated the kind gesture with the cards, then when i go to use them it's an even bigger hassle? and we're argued with?? Look, if it was only for the 1$ off i wouldn't have tried to get more for free that wasn't promised, but it was, that's what i was told and instead I'm made to look like I'm just trying to get a unwarranted freebie. My wife and I used to come here all the time as part of our mid week lunches. They had a great deal with the community cards that support our high school student-athletes. Their exorbitant prices kept rising, but the community card discount kept the sandwiches reasonably priced. However, now they are refusing to support our local high school (a one high school town) by refusing to participate in the high school sports community cards that they have always been a part of. We are no longer willing to give our money to a company who refuses to support our local high school and student athletes and retains their insane sandwich prices. With other lunch shops supporting the local community and directly helping out our student-athletes, we will be switching our weekly Jersey Mike’s Subs visits to the other stores in Yucaipa still on the...
