The Taco Hut — Restaurant in Yucaipa

The Taco Hut has some of the best Latino food I have had anywhere. They make their own salsa from scratch daily and give you a variety of 4 or 5 different kinds. They make a very hard to find Central American dish called pupusa. It is one of the best Latino meals I have ever had, and for about $6 it is actually enough for a full meal at a bargain!. Everything is made fresh from scratch. As far as serving size, you would have to buy about 6 burritos, at a higher total price, at any national Mexican food chain to equal the size of Taco Hut's far superior burritos. They are also about double the size of burritos at a popular small local chain in the area, Rosie's, but at a similar price. I never go to Rosie's anymore after finding the Taco Hut. The Taco Hut manager and workers are the nicest people you can meet at any restaurant. That's what makes my "atmosphere" rating 5 stars. The food is really good. Huge portions and very delicious. My kids had such a good time and couldn’t stop eating!! Haha! The owner of the business is very warm and kind and makes up for the older building which she doesn’t own and cannot fix on her own. Hopefully the building owner will fix some issues: “drafty” seating area, etc. which doesn’t affect the quality of the food. In fact, she felt badly about the cold seating area and offered free hot cocoa for my kids. Very good. Their breakfast menu is served all day which my kids took advantage of. They had the French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon as well as a “breakfast quesadilla” that had egg, cheese, ham, bacon, and sausage. I had the carne asada burrito. My wife had the quesabirria taco. We all shared off each other’s plates and enjoyed it very much. Paid drinks were root beer and Jamaica. Highly recommend. Even if you just do the drive through.
