Mooo's Creamery — Restaurant in Yuma

Been waiting to try this place ever since we found out about it on our way to Algodones!! Mike and his wife Nicki are the sole owners of this ONE and only shop!! The parking lot was empty and we just sat there waiting for it to open. It opened and a couple, out of nowhere, walked in before us. Then we walked in. No less than three minutes later the store was pretty full. There was other people pulling up so obviously these guys know what they’re doing!!! Mike makes the ice cream FRESH!! I was skeptical, but intrigued to try the Vanilla Maple Bacon, Pistachio flavor…. OK, I can tell you it’s the bomb!! That flavor is incredible!!! I also tasted several other flavors and I can tell you they don’t taste fake. They don’t have a weird aftertaste. They just taste creamy natural and delicious. Not heavy not over the top. I have to tell you whatever these guys are doing. They’re doing it right 10 times over.!! I asked Mike if he was going to open up any other shops and he said “actually we’re gonna open one in San Diego,” which of course did not make me happy considering we live in the Gilbert area in the east valley near Phoenix !! Saw the reviews that compared this place to LB Creamery in CA which I frequent, so that is a tall order. We stopped by on the way back from Phoenix to test them out. Got 2 scoops, one of the Rocky Road and one of his new flavor - Nutella with Oreo and brownie. This confection is so creamy and tasty that it was actually on par with LBC. Amazingly, the dairy he uses comes from one of the best vendors on the West Coast and you really can taste the difference. My kid got the mint choc chip which he said was incredible and the root beer float which was super refreshing after a long road trip. Do yourself a favor and stop by Mooos, they’ll make you feel right at home no matter where you are stopping in from.

Oh man—this place is awesome. Moose Creamery nails that old-school, 1950s diner vibe with charm, personality, and seriously good ice cream. The moment you walk in, it feels like home. The owners are incredibly welcoming, no sales pressure, no fake smiles, just genuine people creating a great environment.

The Date Shake is a must-try, but honestly, everything is good. You can tell it’s homemade. Perfect on a hot summer day here in the desert. They’ve even got a giant cow inside/outside that the kids love, plus games and family-friendly seating inside. It’s not just ice cream,it’s a vibe.
