Round Table Pizza — Restaurant in Yuma

I'll start off by saying that the pizza was fantastic! Also it was served in a timely manner by friendly and helpful staff. As for the rest of the experience, well... First impressions of the restaurant was that it was designed and built in maaaaaby 1988 and NEVER renovated. It looked like it had all the original carpet/tables/chairs/fixtures, etc. and it all had the wear to prove it. Then came the matter of the "plates" and such. They gave us paper plates to eat off of....like walmart great value single-ply paper plates. After about 2 pieces of pizza, I could see through my plate, making quite the mess on the table. Along with the paper plates were paper cups. Not really a deal breaker, but I've been to other round tables that had actual solid plates and cups, as well as metal flatware, which is nice if you decide to get the salad bar. My only real complaint about the whole experience is the actual dining. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Round Table pizza, but that place was a dump. So to sum it up, pizza/service=great! restaurant/amenities=very substandard. If I had to give advice to anyone thinking about eating there, I'd just order your pizza to...

We do not go out for Pizza often, but Round Table Pizza has been our go to place in Yuma, but no more. We ordered a medium Pizza, salad bar for my wife and I. I had a beer and my wife water. I had to wait for the beer as they did not have clean glasses. It was not real busy when we arrived, but got progressively busier. The place is worn and in need of some updates. The salad bar was fresh and had a decent selection, but certainly not worth the price charged. 45 minutes later having finished our drinks and salad we were still waiting for our pizza. The staff could see we were getting impatient and starting asking around about our Pizza. I finally went to the counter and asked about our Pizza. After some scrambling they finally located it. It had been boxed and put into a holding shelf. We just took the boxed Pizza and left. The pizza was over done with the tiny shards of mushroom charred. This is the second time we have had to wait an unreasonable time for an over baked pizza. The last time the crust was charred on the ends. Guess we'll see if somebody else in Yuma can make a decent Pizza with sit...

So, I gave this place a 4 star rating even though the estimated time for my carryout order was 22min. and it literally took an hour...the reason for this rating is because the manager handled the situation very well. She let me know and I could see that they were very busy and my order was just going in as I got there 30min after my order was placed online, she offered a gift certificate for the wait and was updating me on my order as much as possible. By the time I got my order I expressed my concern as at that time I was very irritated but the manager listened to my concerns and suggestions and also was encouraging to her kitchen crew to help motivate their efforts which was very surprising to me and admirable.
