Tomo Sushi — Restaurant in Yuma

Food is very good and they have fair pricing. I was disappointed today though because they did not asked me to leave a tip but rather forced to leave the 10%. The waitress told me they are charging anyone who drives to them now to pick up an order (and spends time and gas) an extra 10% to cover their tip costs. I tolerated the extra charge only this one time and would much rather be told about it in advance because it seems very sneaky and dishonest not to tell customers openly upfront about this charge. The tips should be handled separately between owner and employees more prudently without involving customers. The owner should rather raise up the prices on food items instead across the whole menu and leave customers out of forcing them to pay tips to their wiatresses. PS There buy one take one sushi role of equal price is still the best...

Sushi this good in Yuma; who'd have thought it?! If you're in the Foothills, make the drive into Yuma proper. The new location is is worth the travel. Traditional and creative rolls are all delicious. Two of our favorites are: Lobster (crayfish) and The Snow&Whitem Take advantage of the happily hour buy-one-get-one-free. A word to the frugal from the frugal: We werr surprised that Tomo does not match price for price on the freebies. You pay for the higher priced rolls and the lowest priced are free. The waitress suggested separate tickets, putting like priced together. We order appetizers and other non-bogos, so this saves us a little and we tip well. We aresushi snobs love this...

I came here because of the name and the reviews on yelp. There is a Tomo Japanese Restaurant on the west side of Phoenix that is one of my favorites. This place did not disappoint. I came in and Victoria made me feel like I was at home. I sat close to the sushi bar and was greeted by Chef Don who is the owner. I looked at the menu and struck a conversation with the chef. I told him I liked tuna and asked if he could make me a chef's special. He made the best tuna roll I have ever had. It was perfect.
